Dermot

Dermot Report 29 May 2014 12:19

I’d hate to/too/two teach English language in foreign student classes - it cannot be an easy task for various reasons.

Some scholars can easily become very bored/board especially before they have eaten/eaton their/there lunch. Too much sitting in class without outside/outsize exercise can result in them having a pale/pail complexion.

Nobody likes gaels /gales/gails blowing. And they won’t venture out anyway if there is rain/reign promised. Inclement weather is a real pain/pane/payne in the neck but it does allow the students more time in the library where there/there/they’re are loads of books to read/reed/reid.

Some teachers seize/sees/seas every chance to pair/pear/pare them - which seems/seams a good idea. Male/mail with female. Each takes a turn to read/reed/reid a piece/peace while the listener checks/cheques his/her understanding of what he/she has heard/herd. That’s plain/plane enough.

Like many students, they like to wear/ware jeans/genes. Some of these are very dear/deer to buy/by/bye. Sometimes, you can hear/here them moaning about lack of spending cash/cashe. And they are right/wright/write to do so.

Occasionally, a whole/hole chapter is easy to understand but mention of camels/campbells results in a pause/paws to refer to a higher/hire authority for clarification. Tall tales/tails are often amusing since a story/storey of any kind or stile/style needs/kneads to be light-hearted. Young children particularly whine/wine if the story does not include monstrous/monstrance
villains & heroic heroes. Alter/altar the theme if appropriate.

Rubik’s/rubrics cube is ideal to keep the young infants occupied for hours/ours as long as they have bread/bred & butter sandwiches.

Of course, our peers/piers do not regard themselves as liars/lyres nor do they pedal/peddle untruths since their reputations soar/sore & their luck/look holds.

They often stare/stair down their nose/knows on those who offer small amounts of cash/cache instead of a cheque/check. Dam/damn cheek! I’ve rarely seen/scene such moans all through/threw the week/weak. It’s all new/knew to me & a waste/waist of time.

A piece/peace of cake with the tea/tee releases the tensions all round. But I wish they’d remember to brush their hair/hare. Despite receiving clear advice/advise, the young ladies are always making mistakes by driving the wrong direction along a one way/weigh street.

Good bye/buy/by for now. Be/bee careful out there!

PS: Words were William Wordsworth’s insanity too/to/two.

Wend

Wend Report 29 May 2014 12:44

Oh dearie me Dermot - that lot's made me even more cross-eyed :-S

I've just noticed that the kitchen floor which I cleaned yesterday to a pristine finish now has greasy footprints all over it. Yes, he's done it again - he cooked roast chicken last night, spilled fat from the pan on the floor when he took it out of the oven and then proceeded to walk it everywhere with his size 11's. Why can't he do it BEFORE I wash the floor?

I had a grumble about it and he's gone off out in a huff :-(

Off to wash the kitchen floor AGAIN >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> :-D
