One cannot beat a very large glass of Gordons, ice and a slices of lemon.

The only reason I do C*****mas ;-) ;-) :-D :-D

GinN

GinN Report 26 Nov 2013 17:31

Barb - I'll be having one or two of those as well! ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

Only thing I won't be having is whiskey :-P :-P :-P :-P

GinN

GinN Report 26 Nov 2013 17:32

Fly! :-0 what do you have instead of Squifettes and Pud? :-D :-D :-D

BarbinSGlos

BarbinSGlos Report 26 Nov 2013 17:36

I don't like whiskey either yuk. Brandy is good as is white or a pale rum with coke.

C*****mas morning I have sherry while I'm cooking, wine with my lunch, brandy with my coffee and then

Gordon for the rest of the day. Can't wait >>>>>>>>> ;-) :-D

GinN

GinN Report 26 Nov 2013 17:43

Barb - I start with a glass of bubbly when we go over to see our daughter and grandkids. Then it's dry vermouth or G+ T, or Pernod - maybe all three ;-) ;-), then wine with lunch, then brandy. :-D :-D :-D

Probably followed by a bit of a kip! ;-) ;-) ;-)

GiN I can fall asleep after a cuppa tea ;-) instead of C Pud we might

have fruit pie or sponge and custard :-D OK boring I know :-D

We always have Asti Spumanti with Xmas lunch and the kids get soft drinks. I prefer apple tart with custard rather than a pudding. Wine follows later. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hi, GP :-D :-D ;-) ;-)
Well, how untraditional - apple pie and custard! :-D :-D ;-)

We have Christmas Pud, but not until about 6 o'clock at night, when we've got some room! :-D :-D

GeordiePride

GeordiePride Report 26 Nov 2013 19:04

Hiya GinN ;-) ;-) ;-) :-D

I've never been particularly keen on Xmas pudding so I prefer an alternative.
Last year I made a prawn cocktail starter followed by traditional dinner then later on we had homemade apple pie with cream and it went down well. ;-) ;-) :-D

GinN Report 26 Nov 2013 19:07

GP - we always start with prawn cocktail, too - especially if the eldest Grandson comes round - he can live on it! :-D :-D

Good on you for hosting Christmas Dinner - I like a quiet time :-) :-) :-) ;-)
