Granddaughter has gone home having been to the Remembrance Service with us, at 4 years old she has a lot more understanding of what it's about.

OH has just caught me staring into space - I didn't tell him that I'm doing a virtual dinner party for the residents of Nutlodge and that I was planning my main course. I've had a few slurps while doing the starter and waiting for them to return from rummaging in my bedroom, Come Dine With Me style. So glad this isn't being filmed! :-D

My brother discovered a photo taken in 1948 of him me and my mum walking down a highstreet. I was only 3 I had hold of her hand and I had the prettiest little coat and boots on. He had a suit on. When you think there was still rationing and nice clothes were hard to come by. I love that photo. I am being soppy. Rememberance Day for all kinds of reasons eh :-D

Hi Barb, hopefully the young ones will carry on and remember. Was trying to tell granddaughter this morning without scaring her.

On my own - in the real world OH is watching football, in cyber world only a couple of people have turned up to my dinner party. I don't think I'll get a score for years to come - YG must have gone to Narnia whilst rummaging through my wardrobe.

More food and drink for me then!

I know what you mean, Barb about Rememberance Day :-) I too think of those that are no longer with us for what every reason :-) but it's good that we both can think of things that made us happy <3
