Assuming that the whole story is actually true - then that mother sounds absolutely horrendous.

I wonder if the 26,000 bid was the daughter using the Mum's details?

I didn't use the link to get the full story........

Maybe the mum should have let the daughter go to the show...... but without her girlfriends :-D

Take mum & dad & maybe grandma instead.

:-D

Isn't it illegal to buy tickets with the intention of selling on at a profit? Not sure if it is fraud but it must involve intent to evade tax.

To get hold of the tickets and make a nice little earner on them you need a plausible story and this one seems a bit too detailed to me.

~Lynda~ Report 21 Sep 2013 00:32

I'd take Fred with me instead of the kids, far better behaved :-D

By the way if anyone wants One Direction tickets for next year in England my son has two spare. Funny thing is he tried to sell them on ebay, and they were taken off by them, put to another site, owned by ebay, where when he got a sale, was told he wouldn't get the money until a couple of weeks before the show, even though the purchaser paid for them, so he withdrew the sale of the tickets. So can't understand how this woman, has tickets for sale on ebay, I wonder if they may take them off, like they did my sons?

In answer to the question, would I do that to my children? No I'd just go myself, then tell darling child how good it was :-D But I don't believe the story anyway.

It's all over the www, apparently her daughter is a trollop (no offence Lynda) ;-)

maggiewinchester Report 21 Sep 2013 00:48

A wonderful thing to show any truculent teenager - beware the angry mum :-D
Not sure, if I had a trollopy teenage daughter that I'd tell the whole world, though :-(

Boot on other foot - would I like my daughters to tell the whole world about my lack of interest in housework? :-(

~Lynda~ Report 21 Sep 2013 00:51

No offence taken Sue, nobody can trollop like me :-D

jax Report 21 Sep 2013 00:52

Did'nt realise she was only 11...edit No that was another story lol

My daughter saw them in April and has tickets for next year....maybe she should sell them if there is that much profit in them

~Lynda~

~Lynda~ Report 21 Sep 2013 01:00

The daughter was only 11 ? Then the mother should have kept a better eye on her daughter, and rather than tell the 11 year old what she thinks of her on the www, she should report the older guy, who's house she was hanging out in, to the Police. Fancy calling an 11 year old a trollop, how gross is that, yuk.

Sounds like the mother needs lessons in bringing up children. If the stories true that is.

jax Report 21 Sep 2013 01:17

No that was another story which they added in the middle of the One Direction tickets story

Lynda, you would not want to take Fred.

Don't imagine a wheelchair dancing in the aisles, think more the words "And you can turn that bloody rubbish off, let's have a bit of Ken Dodd on."

StrayKitten Report 21 Sep 2013 08:18

im with Kay i wouldnt do that to my child, to gain respect you have to earn it, and the only way a child will learn is by you showing them,

the child obviously takes after the mother,

if its real :-D

Nolls from Harrogate

Nolls from Harrogate Report 21 Sep 2013 12:13

If it's true then I think I'm with Kay on this . I can understand the parents annoyance at the girls spending time with an older man and agree that that should not go unpunished but I certainly would not make any of it public . Would I let them go to the concert ? ...probably not, I would probably tear the tickets up or else let them go with so many conditions they wouldn't forget for a very long time!
I think this could cause a lot of problems for the future not so much the not going to the concert but the fact the daughter has been publicly humilated, her friends may grumble but will have a great time re-telling the story to all and sundry about so and so's mother causing a wedge between friends / daughter / mother. A bad age to start a war perhaps?
