So hard for all your family, but Katie is meant to be here as she is obviously fighting very hard. She sounds like a strong little baby. Bet she amazes everyone when she gets home.
Sending love and hugs to you all. <3 <3

Ongoing thoughts and prayers for a very special baby Katie, what a little fighter!

What a worry for you all and what a real challenge for the doctors. I am sure they won't let you down. Let's think in a positive way that the specialists in America can help and support the medical team here to put Katie on the road to recovery. xx

Remembering baby Esme and hoping she is improving each day. xx

Bless them both, little fighters in their own ways.

I hope between them the American and British doctors can help solve Katie's problems and give her a good quality of life.

My thoughts go out to the parents and families of both little ones who are facing such problems and trying to cope with all that's being thrown at them.

Thank you everyone for your support.

We are still awaiting news from America.
Speaking to my daughter yesterday she said that Katie's lungs stopped growing at 26 wks ,and they are like sponge.
I wonder they didnt spot this when she went for ante natal!....she had a bad time with strep B with the boy 20 months now,but she didnt have that this time.
Just messaged me to say that they are trying to cut down on the number of breaths the machine does and having her eyes checked out tomorrow as they could be affected by the ventilator.
It's a waiting game!!

Hope Esme is improving. <3 <3

Jean hope you enjoyed your time in Llandudno.get in touch if you go again!

This is the latest of the things they are looking into,.When I was told Pig thought this was the easiest way to explain it by giving website.
On reading some of this see that identical twins can be prone.Spoken to daughter who has seen her today and talked to doctors, about losing J's twin, they are getting the reports from the hospital where he was dealt with, but it was 25 Years ago.

Daughter says that Katie was looking around and behaving as a 6week baby should.
Changed Avatar to today's pic.

Hope they are working as hard to sort out little Esme...must say they are doing everything they can for Katie.

Hi Brenda.

Just looked on that website and had a read about Pig. At least now they have something to look into. I pray that Katie gets the right treatment and improves very soon. Reading that Katie was looking around sounds so good. Bless her and all your family. It must be so hard. We went through a very hard time 26 years ago with our youngest and she could not breath on her own for over 7 months. Totally different thing but understand how frightening it all is. Love to all xx <3 <3
