I'm off 2 weeks tomorrow, to Canada - can't wait! :-D

It's a tour, run by an Australian company, so their should be lots of Aussies on it - they are great company! Better than the Brits on holiday! :-D :-D

On Ancestry I found that my g,ma and g,pa sailed on the Mauretania of Cunard White Star to New York and then coached up to Canada where her sister lived.
That was in 1949. I wonder how long their journey took.

Barb - it's going to be strange - we leave Heathrow at 10.55 am, and arrive in Vancouver at about 11.15am! Now, that's quick for you! :-D :-D

GiN we had to travel to Gatwick to get there 3 hours before an 8 hour flight.
We have only gone 4 hours at the most before.
