GeordieinNorfolk you should find it at the top - or if you read the thread the other way, at the bottom

GinN

GinN Report 7 Aug 2013 21:44

Willicks? No, GP, I can't say that I remember that, but I do remember making myself a bit poorly on the school trip to Scarborough by eating too many winkles - I've never eaten them since! :-( ;-)

Errol - oh, never mind :-S

eRRolSheep

eRRolSheep Report 7 Aug 2013 21:46

But were the winkles tasty?

GeordiePride

GeordiePride Report 7 Aug 2013 21:47

GinN - I've never had a winkle since the 60's.

Did you wear winklepickers, GP? :-D

GeordiePride

GeordiePride Report 7 Aug 2013 21:56

GinN - I never liked winklepickers as I wore more conservative footwear mainly black shoes.

Errol - They tasted alright but I didn't like the look of them.

Sounds like you were a sensible lad, GP - the type you could take home to Mam and Dad. :-)

Errol - they actually look a bit like snots, and probably taste like them too!

Hiya Mersey - I was 23 years old when that was taken way back in the 1960's. Glad you like it.

GinN - When I was serving my apprenticeship i noticed that older apprentices did not wear Teddyboy attire and the bosses would frown if anyone came into the office wearing it therefore i never did.
You are quite correct I was the kind of boy you could take home and meet your parents. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D ;-)
