When you put something like:
'She would make mince meat of.............and clean up the site'

in an opening post, it does seem that you like it when these boards explode, rather than missing her posting when there is no upset on these threads.

JC is a brilliant researcher, with a good way with words and like others have said is happily posting/helping elsewhere. She is also an intelligent adult who has chosen not to post on this site, but I am sure she would if she felt she wanted to.

I think some are being very unfair to Gins and also misreading her intention.

Also she has said nothing that certain posters on this thread have not actually said themselves.

well I am happy to admit she made 'mince meat' of me on several occasions, it certainly sharpened my dozing brain cells when i had to 'debate ' with her lol, it was a mental 'work out' which I found stimulating in many a thread and is missed ;-) ( not that I am suggesting there aren't still some good debaters on here of course but a few are no longer with us unfortunately ).

If memory serves Miss Canuck did not leave these boards of her own free will. Wasn't she banned by GR?

Now if GR would only do the same to certain other individuals then perhaps the site might not require any further cleaning up.

Last contact I had with Janey was late last year when I was following up some further possible leads on my paternal grandfather which I had from my cousin.

At the time, Janey was extremely busy with her day job but did intimate that some day she would return to this site.

Through Janey I was able to restore some historic sketches (well copies anyway) back to the appropriate Canadian authorities

I'm wondering, maybe cleaning up the site means a bit of dusting and polishing, with a bit of hoovering thrown in ;-)

I don't think the site needs 'cleaning up' just needs people to respond to each other in a grown up way and accept that we all have our own opinions. Also to stop telling people not to post on a thread just because they either don't like them or don't like an opinion. Just ignore.

As to JaneyC I quite liked her posts unless they were too long
