Some people on this site have very short memories.

Remeber 2006 when GR was shut down for a week because of all the sniping, fighting and arguments.

Well this could quite easily happen again if all the nonsense carries on between people.

We know people don't see eye to eye but please try and get on and stop acting like tiny children of 2yrs old and upwards to 18yrs.

One thing that should stop is bringing people's names into a thread when they maybe not around.

Now please just look at yourselves and say I will not cause any more arguments or sniping.

Let's have a bit of KARMA on this site and breath deepily and think twice about what you post.

Press PREVIEW and read what you have written then either delete because it could be misconstrued or if you think it sounds ok then press SUBMIT.

But for goodness sake please help by not letting GR Shut this site down.

Now BLASTED BEHAVE LIKE ADULTS.

AnnCardiff Report 26 Jun 2013 13:23

fair enough, I don't mind one way or the other :-)

and if they are restored I shall delete them out of deference to you

Lyndi

Lyndi Report 26 Jun 2013 13:22

If GR disagree with my reporting Ann the post will be back - as you say we all have different opinions on things :-)

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 26 Jun 2013 13:13

vehemence - I don't think so, but of course you are entitled to your opinion and you are also entitled to report me - I find it distasteful to have men discussing Tampax - I have a right to say that, it's my view - I do not think I have contravened T & C's

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 26 Jun 2013 12:55

I was a bit shocked to have been reported twice, Lindi.

But I do think that was the best way to deal with it. Otherwise, some of us try to resolve the sniping ourselves and only get drawn in.

Didn't think I shot my rifle, but happy to let Genes decide about that. :-)

Lyndi

Lyndi Report 26 Jun 2013 12:48

Ann, the vehemence with which you expressed your view was a tad heavy. If GR see fit to restore then fine, but it was descending into sniping between you and John, and the sniping is the very thing people are fed up with.

This "discussion" so takes me back. Dad had a paper shop when I was in my teens. We sold Dr Whites No 1 and No 2.

Usually customer would say "can I speak to your mum a moment" and I would retire to the lounge at the back as customer whispered her requirements. Very occasionally, I could not escape like that. Mum was down at the wholesalers, I would say. "Oh! I'll pop back later, cock"

But if they continued with planned purchase, I used to blush to the roots, stop speaking for a while, find a lot of brown paper to wrap up the item and take the money - avoiding eye contact at all times.

And the advertising of these sanitary products was not quite so imaginative. Fanciful advertising was then reserved for products like cigarettes and soap powder. :-) ;-)
