the outcome of a pregnancy.

Is it possible to have a natural birth with very little/no pain?

I ask in order to see if our member who knows everything about anything will contribute towards this thread.

Yes!! My younger son took less than an hour and all I felt was some discomfort.

I also realise I was very lucky and, if the truth be told, would have liked a little more warning!

Wonder who would have reported me when I have only begun to post again.

I did not think there was anything terrible in this - just wondered??

ChrisofWessex I don't know what you could have said but I imagine it certainly did not merit an RR !

Andysmum

Andysmum Report 8 Jun 2013 16:52

Looks like I was the only person who actually saw the OP. I thought it might develop into an interesting discussion and didn't deserve to be RR'd.

Errol - I posted it again at 16.47 - roughly the same words that I could recall!

Well I for one see absolutely nothing wrong with that!

I thought so too Andysmum - the last remark was a tongue in cheek one but anything is possible.

I don't remember your exact words Chris........

But you said something along the lines of.......

I am posting this in order to see if the member who knows everything about anything will contribute.

That's when i thought................oh oh!!

Can't remember the actual length of time but something like 5/6 hours, no pethadine, no gas, no epidural, a bit of bearable pain and no stitches. That was with the second one. No stitches with the first either 6 years before that but did have pethadine and a short whiff of gas forced on me, refused any more after that and about the same length of time.

ChrisofWessex

ChrisofWessex Report 8 Jun 2013 17:10

Am I the only one who was a dying duck? In bed for 6 weeks before birth so weak to start - luckily only lasted 9 hours - stitches. Second is supposed to be easier - wrong - 3 weeks early - waters broke week before so dry birth - lasted 27 hours. No stitches.

Gas & air I think - definitely a bit of ether when first one got stuck!

ChrisofWessex Report 8 Jun 2013 17:12

Errol I never thought of that - all creatures great and small - vets had gloves to their armpits! ooooooooooooooooooooooh.
