Anyone else find it tiring having the soaps in hour long slots on the evenings we get them? Three hours of soaps this evening.

Why on earth have they dragged back the Bethany grooming story?

They do these high impact 'awareness' storylines very well but then weaken them by floundering.


I'm not sure what Flora is meant to be? How has she gone from a dependant lady in a care home to a slighty eccentric lady who is able to dress neatly and round up the Shreddies grannies for a booze up (please not again)

I wondered why they have resurrected that storyline Island, maybe because he is going to appeal as many do. Or maybe to show how family often don't believe the facts as his daughter doesn't. Or maybe they couldn't think of anything else.

Yes I wondered why they didn't see them. Did he actually hear what she said? Nothing Craig has said since has led me to believe he was supposed to know whose daughter she is. did I miss anything?

No Ann, Craig does not know who she is. She is a cunning little minx and twisted the story yet again!

However, if Bethany had looked at the envelope that Ryan fished out of her locker, she presumably would have seen the surname, and put two and two together. But, this is never the case in soaps is it?

Simon, I think, is shortly going to get a big shock. I think this storyline is heading towards the danger of gangs. Next thing there will be knives involved and Simon will carry the blame whether ot not he is guilty. that is just me guessing but it has to be going somwhere.

Am I right in thinking Liz has been sacked? From the pub, and/or the medical centre. How she ever got the medical job is beyond me. Would you like a neighbour having access to your medical records? Not me.

When first married and moved from home, on changing Doctors to a local one I found that the receptionist was my father's cousin. I never knew if she was discrete but I think she might have been. She would have known I was pregnant before my Mum did.

Where we live her we used to have a receptionist that knew us personally through the golf club but she was very discreet, no problems there.

A character has to be likeable to sympathise with them.

Simon is not. Is there not some far flung relative he can go and live with?

The Barlows seem to be an ever expanding family, has Ken not got a long lost love child in Australia Simon can go and live with.
