Mr Anwar, who played love cheat Sharif Nazir, branded Indians “b*****ds” and “p**s-drinking c**ts” in an outburst which swiftly cost him his Corrie job.

I won't be sorry to see the back of the character - or his latest storyline.

Why do they have to split up every couple? Such lazy writing.

I had a look at Digital Spy this morning, the posters on there were more shocked by his age than his behaviour or sacking LOL 45! it seems it is a typo and he's 55. I would have put him at late 60s :-0

Now there's all this uproar about the Kunta Kinte remark the other week.....truly people can anyone say that was meant to be racist...

I wonder if they will get another actor to play the part of Sharif. Apparently the storyline goes into Christmas.

Aaaaah, poor old Kirk's dog is dying of cancer. That will be a teary goodbye.

Maybe that will bring Kirk and Beth back together.

I hope they just ditch the storyline. The actor is now saying he was leaving in November anyway (ner ner).

I thought Ozzie was Maria and Liams dog? I did think it was odd that Kirk and Ms Errie returned from the vets telling Maria that her dog is going to be put to sleep 'tomorrow' without consulting her.

Apparently Sharif will be returning just for some scenes that are essential to the storyline

I don't know why some people (digital spy) are so nasty about her. So she's a dippy character played by an even dippier actor but I think she's hilarious - especially when she was with Jason.

I hadn't thought about Tommy nabbing Michelle, Maddie, but now you've mentioned it......... "yes please Tommy, help yourself to her - I'd be honoured"

As for Phelan........ why is he suddenly bottling it? Completely out of character! This is a problem with the writers, they bring in new characters with all guns blazing then find they can't keep it up so put them on the bland wash cycle.
Looks like a 'Christmas reveal' for that tedious storyline, oh what fun. :-\

I'm still trying to work out why so many people, living on the same street, suddenly find themselves in need of 'one of those flats' which they haven't even seen :-S
