Boy, John, or should that be John Boy?

Your metaphors are well and truly mixed and your cliches clash!

I sometimes have to drift off thread as reference is sometimes made on one thread to some thing I may have posted on another, as in the case of Hayley's post here.

But I do just simply admire how you can turn the contents of any posts on any threads back to your own self being.

I bet you were a gyroscope in a previous life.

Oh, and I still refuse to tell Sue how good she is, so you can take me off your hook and throw me back. I'm only a tiddler anyway :-D :-D

Allan :-D :-D :-D

It is not about me (or my gyroscope). And I shall lead you to the water (only best Lancastrian spring water) and make you drink. Sue is not good, she is wonderful :-D :-D Admit it - you know it makes sense. You are rather good yourself IMHO

Thanks for joining in the fun everyone - a lot of laughs :-D

Of course most people know that the thread was put up for fun and as a 'gentle' dig at a recent member of our community.

For the person who put up a couple of comments and deleted - do you really think I would come on here and try to get people to tell me how wonderful I am to boost my ego?

Oh and John - Allan is my friend and he knows how wonderful I am ;-)

Enjoyed thread a lot also, Sue. No idea who you might be referring to :-D :-D

Know deep down that Allan is your friend. He is a very nice man indeed, nearly as wonderful. Did he pm you to say you were wonderful? Cos we sure didn't see his unequivocal Lancastrian love for a Yorkshire lass on here :-S :-S

This thread is very inspiring. Your incredible popularity is something I aspire to when I reach your maturity, Sue :-D :-D

How will you frame this thread and where will you display it? I intend to have my less enthusuiastic thread (with one or two deletions) wriiten out beautifully in calligraphy and I will insert it in my NROVA. :-D :-D

supercrutch

supercrutch Report 8 Oct 2012 10:07

Is NROVA a dialect word in the Rhondda and does it mean bum?

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 8 Oct 2012 10:12

:-D :-D :-D Very funny, Sue. LOL <3

It was National Vocational Record of Achievement. You will be far too young to remember them, but us oldies had to go along with our grey boxed NROVA's for interviews. It had your certificates (including my short birth one) and any testimonies about how good you were. Mine was very heavy and bulged out of its case :-D

SueMaid would have had at least two NROVA's :-D :-D

supercrutch Report 8 Oct 2012 10:54

My children all have National Record of Achievement Folders from Grammar School. (I had to google an image). Never saw the light of day after they went to Uni!

Clueless as to Vocational unless it refers to NVQs.

SueMaid

SueMaid Report 8 Oct 2012 11:05

No certificates or records for me. I got where I am today by just being myself. My wonderful personality, my countless stories of my achievements and the bright smile on my face has opened many doors through my life. I'm often humbled by me ;-)

Supercrutch Seem to think NROVA (enrover) was what they called it at first. Was your children's a grey plastic box about a quarter of an inch thick?

Sue Seems like it was a waste of money. It was meant to help people to be wonderful - but wonderful is as wonderful does. Have you never needed to go to interviews with a box in your Harrods carrier bag? :-D :-S
