Shame you do not get paid for each hit on a thread. You would have made a lot of dough this weekend. :-D

Now can I be first (amd probably last) on your thread in October? Press submit. :-S

peanut butter bread sounded lovely?

Can we have a second opinion, Joy :-D

Has anyone heard of soda bread. My gran used to like in in 1950's. Not too keen myself. Used to throw it out for the birds and they would crash land soon afterwards :-( :-(

Took bread out of microwave last night and placed it in freezer. Solid block this morning. How do I slice it? How do I make my sandwich? Any suggestions for filling? And not keen on peanut butter, but like most other things.

John you do the modern thing, buy sliced bread, freeze it ,

and take out enough slices for your daily needs........

quick thaw,
in michaelwave........

stand three or four slices on edge Like playing cards...and zap for1 minute and 30 seconds or so on defrost

John, you'll need an electric carving knife with the 'ice sculpture' blades. Try a scoop of sorbet as a filling with a sprinkling of frozen peas. :-D

Bob, that is quite a palava - why not just eat it? :-S

I'm not getting why bread needs to be frozen - unless you are stockpiling :-S :-D

That is the first time I have laughed out loud since the war. And that was Chamberlain saying "peace in our time" and "look to the future with confidence" and then popping his clogs almost immediately. :-D Laughed so much think I might have apoplexy - struggling to tip thyss :-S

Island

Island Report 1 Oct 2012 10:50

TS, he's the lesser known brother of Marcel Wave, roots in Mexico.

Tenerife Sun Report 1 Oct 2012 10:59

Ahhh Mexico that explains why I couldn't find him on the 1891 census, I did find what I think could be his sister her name was Ocean.

Hi John believe it or not I knew it was a mis-spelling :-D :-D

JustJohn

JustJohn Report 1 Oct 2012 11:06

TS Miss Spelling, not mis-spelling ;-)

Why are we reseraching this Mexican family? It is off thread, Mexicans eat no bread. Just fajitas, you silly **** :-D

Now John Thaw had rellies in the UK who ate bread ;-) Don't want to be a bore, but better to do John Thaw. It keeps us to the thread. Tin or wood for bread. :-D

Island :-( :-( Feel sea sick. I have been up and down out of my computer seat 20 times in last 5 minutes. Knees are aching - and my boy kitten with a girl's name (Buddug) looks extremely confused.

Have tried to explain someone is researching a Mexican Wave family on a bread thread, but he still looks a very puzzled kitten :-S :-S
