I hope your derrier, err, backside is not so saddle sore now Petunia,? Did you get rid of the mud?. Some say mud is very beneficial to the skin :-D, maybe so if you are a lizard.... I prefer a nice little moisturiser myself.

Lesley, we had seriously thought about going to see Mrs Brown in Sydney next March... We changed our mind as we have a bit on next year, glad we did after your disappointment with the show. I too would rather see 'new' material... My OH and I took a trip up the river to Green Wich :-) as did my Mama and I. Most pleasant and we enjoyed meandering about Greenwich. Jean (Monmouth's) hubby was originally from Greenwich so I believe :-).
Sounds like you had a busy weekend.

Fruit and I tootled down to the Pound yesterday as I had heard about another little doggy being attacked by a 'white' dog. Alas it was not the beast that attacked our pup. This dog is off to meet his maker tomorrow as this latest attack was his third... how he survived past one attack beggars belief in my book.

My fruit had a job yesterday that has left her very perturbed, one fellow made a lot of crass comments that have upset my fruit. I have told her she has to make a complaint... He made her skin 'crawl'..... :-P. I hope she is in a better frame of mind this morning.

I wonder when the royal bundle will arrive?. I bet her maj is a tad excited about it all. Have you all been furiously knitting?. I bet CC has knocked up a special bin liner creation for babbie, can't you just imagine it :-D.

Another dull foggy morning here so I won't be stepping outside for a bit yet..

Thanks for the good wishes to my mama and papa. I sent flowers as we couldn't be there on the actual day. I must say I was a bit disappointed with them when we visited Sunday. For the money I spent I think half the bunch was missing :-|. Mama seemed happy enough with them so that is all that matters - I think?

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D FTY has won a trophy. It was at the devils football. The annual awards were handed out and he got one for The Most Improved Player of the year. We were most impressed. All that standing about bellowing encouragement has finally paid orff.

Auntie dear, I did mention to Pat rish aaaaa to take the baby wet wipes with her. Every seasoned Glasto goer knows that wet wipes are essential at festivals especially when the cleansing stations are not up to scratch. Tutty tut tut.

We had our own little festival in the garden. My dear OH rigged up the I player and speakers into the garden and we sat listening to Mick Keef and Kenny. I thought Kenny did very well, Shame you couldn't make it on stage. Im sure you would of enhance the performance in your own special way :-D
I did pop in and catch another Knight of the realm singing and dancing. There was a fare size crowd watching.

I was most impressed to see the wonderful Mr Johnny Marr doing a set. I didn't realise what a good voice he had. I think he has been a little eclipsed by the dear Mr Morrisey over the years.

We will sort out the mini meet as soon as I have the September orff duty rota. :-D

Lesley we have been to Green Wich as well. I last went a couple of years ago when we went to see the construction of the Olympic areas. I bought a chicken there. :-D

Susan, I hope your Fruit is a little better today. I do feel there are people in life who give you the jitters. Hugs to the pup as well.
I love the corgi picture. Mamma and Papa had a corgi when I was a baby. It was not a happy bunny when I came along and went in for the attack! My Dad ended up with a chunk out of his finger and the dog met his maker. I think corgis can be very unpredictable.

Psssst FTE just communicated by the power of the text. They have a VIP Judge on the ship and his band of merry men and women. They have danced from the BBC to the high seas for a mini tour. ;-)

What a fantastic idea for our mini meet .......................................................... we could all have a mud bath :-D Teresa can you remind me to bring the wet wipes :-D

Susan I like Greenwich very much and although I have been there several times I have never been to The Queen's House museum so I have promised myself I will go back, I didn't know Phil was from London, having never met him or Jean I assumed they were both Welsh.

Alas Auntie we did not have Mr Tennant with us, we had exhausted him ;-) ;-) ;-) so he had gone back to the hotel for a nap.

Ooh I say onion patch :-0

Good evening Ladies,

I spy a gentleman caller! Good evening Mr Leslie, I see from other threads around and about that you are a newcomer to the boards.

Come on in dear, and make yourself welcome. I will get Pat-trish-aaaah to take your hat and cane, your coat will be hung up properly on the hall stand.

Now come into the Parlour where I can get Mrs Berry to get you a cup of tea and some small cakes. Do you like cucumber sandwiches dear, with the crusts cut off? I will ring the bell and they will appear like magic.

Now dear, do make yourself comfortable, and tell me all about yourself. Who are your family dear? Are you of independent means? I trust you will leave your hand engraved calling card on the mantelpiece as you leave. Settle down dear, I will be back shortly............................

Well dear Susan, I am hobbling around soon, but I am much better for the use of talcum powder. How horrid for your dear fruit. Of course she must have words about the man. No one should be made to feel uncomfortable. Tell her I will give her my full backing, there are laws now about those things.

Your dog troubles are worrying too dear. Some dogs have no discipline, but it is the fault of the owners unfortunately, not the dogs. There are plenty of vicious dogs around here. Some look pug ugly like their owners. They road the streets almost looking for trouble. Very scary.

We are of course knitting like billy-o, must be soon. It will be announced outside Buck House on an easle as is tradition.

Cooooooeeeeee Teresa dear. I am pleased you enjoyed the Festival. One thing you did miss dear was the SMELL. Those chemical lavatories are something else.
Well done your fruit dear, all that standing on the touchline was worth it.

Greenwich is lovely dears, the Naval connection, the Park, the Cutty Sark. I believe it has been restored dears. All those figure heads are a sight to behold.

Now Leslie dear, about this Petunia in an onion patch.....................................

Hello Leslie,

nice to see ya, to see ya nice :-).

Our Petunia certainly does not reside in the onion patch..... she lives in a rambling old pile - apparently ;-). She is not shy and retiring either... She is a Lady, who always has her finger in everyone else's pies.... Petunia 's motto is to help those in need. She is quite amazing. Those in 'need' don't always realise they are :-D.

Petunia will be delighted you have called in Leslie. Call again :-)

Teresa, was that a live chicken you bought ?????. Surely not a frozen one..
Does FTE get to 'watch/spy' on any exhibitions of dancing?. Congratulations to FTY on his trophy.. I sense more side line attendances for you...

My avatar is in honour of the impending arrival. The photograph was taken in Bridgnorth. All the shop windows for dressed for Jubilee celebrations. Teresa, corgi puppies are soooo cute, shame they can be a snappy dog. A past neighbour had a corgi pup called Prince :-(, very original..

Off to face the world again, rain forecast today :-P.

Thank you Teresa dear for your advice .........................#speaks through gritted teeth#

I trust the new picture in more in keeping with the Summer. Look hard and you will see I am smiling.

I think that we are losing pace without dear Cherry, although I have had a missive from her. If we should arrange a soiree amongst herself, she would like to join us. I took the liberty of saying we would love to see her.

So, if we are to arrange one Saturday when dear Teresa is free, we need to let us know.

Night all

Good morning Ladies,

Nice photo Petunia, are your legs henna-ed like what the Indian ladies do their hands or are they wearing leggings?. I think I need a magnifying glass to take in the finer details..

Well ladies, my fruit complained about the horrible chap and had a phone call to say that the particular chap will not be used in future at all, so result. !! The woman on the phone didn't question my fruit, she was unhappy in her dealings with him too.

We are off this afternoon with friends for a weekend away. Hooray. Off to a beach. We are staying with the sister of the friends we are going with. A change is as good as rest , apparently.

Nice to know your unemployed solo mums are being looked after. If what I saw on the internet is true, the woman with a zillion kids is to get a lovely new home :-S. Beats living in a shoe I guess...... whatever next..... Sterilization or is that too un p.c?

Better get my skates on, fruit is flying off to a conference today. Pup and I are driving fruit to the airport. :-).

Have a lovely weekend one and all.

Good evening ladies,

So good of you to be concerned about my leg apparel! Now, let me explain..............I am wearing a shift and a chemise. The shift is in a silk, and it is worn under the chemise. The chemise is longer, and, as in the picture, I am lying semi prone, the chemise is covering my legs. It is in a diaph, a diaf, a dieph...............semi transparent material. On cannot stand rod straight as if one is to be shot................so I arranged myself seductively to be photographed. I hope that explains all. Tutty tut.

I think when we DO meet dear Teresa and Lesley, we should keep our arrangements to emails. We do not want everyone to see us, it would be too much excitement in one day!!!!

I am glad your fruit has put steps in motion dear Susan. Some of the male species are a nuisance......................even to themselves. Have a lovely time at the beach too dear. Don't forget, slip, slap, slop!!!!

Teresa dear, you cannot be feeling old. You are but a mere spring chick.

One can always see how old fruits are, by the rings under their Mama's eyes!

Not you of course dear, but in general. General Custer!

Tis going to be warm over the weekend dears, take care in the sun.

Good Afternoon Ladies.

This lady's not for getting any hotter than to cause her to glow ...................................... .......................today I came very close to perspiring :-0 I have made a quick retreat to my cool shady boudoir .............................relaxing on my chas lounge while MOG fans me with my ostrich feather fan, one fruit is dabbing my brow with a cool damp cloth soaked in water with a view drops of lavender oil added, fruit two is feeding me with grapes, our third fruit is typing this post...................................................I wish.

Now for the truth.................................I have run myself ragged this morning so I don't feel guilty sitting this afternoon while I watch the ladies final at Wimbledon.

Ladies......................................................I fear we may have frightened Leslie orft, as he has now been back!

Yes dears, it has been a little warm of late. I have been fair glowing myself! Remember a lady never, every perspires!!!!! Not much anyway.!!!

Remember to keep your ostrich feather curly dear Lesley, but holding it over the steam from the kettle. I like to advise you all how to keep yourself curly.

Lavender is very soothing dear, and it refreshes the soul. I have a huge patch in my garden. As I walk amongst it, my skirt brushes the flowers, and a beautiful aroma fills the air.

I fear I may have taken a little too much sun yesterday, as I have a few freckles starting appear on my nose. Pass the lemon juice please. One must have a pallid complexion dears, in keeping with Ms Kidman. By the by, is her hairline getting higher? Or it is the result of b@t@x?

I hope you have a peaceful night dears, the heat does tend to send some people dooolally!

:-| mozzies seem to be following me everywhere. This includes paid toil!!!!!! :-S :-S :-S :-S

I have been bit on the forehead :-S Twice on the thigh and lower leg as well.Tutty tut tut.

Its a little hot but hay ho its beats freezing with no heating, You remember the saga of the boiler in the winter doncha gals?

I am glad all is sorted with your Fruit Susan :-)

Tm Nephew Fruit had a loverly Prom. My Sister and I went to see the arrivals :-D The modes of transport were inventive to say the least. A lot of camper vans were evident, a motorbike, a large truckers truck, various cars and an 1950s bus :-D I did not see the stretch limos of yesteryear or asmuch fake tan either. The gals looked very naice in their frocks and the boys dapper in suits. The evening had a decidedly vintage look about it and very nice too I say :-D

Susan we did venture out to Melford Hall to another classic car do today. It was a little warm but we did find a bit of shade.

I do not like tennis, its up there with the devils football. I much prefer athletics and stuff like that. I must congratulate Mr Andy for his win and Auntie did I see you presenting him with something? oh it was you, I wondered why he smiled so cheerfully ;-)

Well orff now to watch the White Queen. She is a bit wishy washy compared to the book but its worth a watch.

Toodle pip for now

Morning Ladies,

We were blessed with a beautiful sunny weekend, what a treat. It was so much warmer where we were than where we live.. A pleasant change indeed.

You seem to be enjoying some lovely summer weather at the moment, mozzies aside... It is very cool this morning, in fact a heavy frost... It will warm up later as the rain is due... oh joy.

Well done Mr Murray, a right boost for all the tennis lovers. I am not partial to tennis I must admit but am pleased for Andy.

Ooh, another baby to be born to the royals early next year. :-). This one without a title ;-). I wonder how far away the titled one is?. It's mama is probably thinking the very same.. What are you feeling in your waters girls, boy or girl?..

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of a wedding album in the post. We chose our own pics and layout through an online company.. I hope it is as nice as I am expecting.. Hard to believe the day was over three months ago. Where does the time go I ask.

I am on the countdown re our little holiday.. only 10 weeks to go :-S. hopefully they will fly by..

Right , time to make lunch and then get myself ready for work..

~~~~~~~ to all
toodle,
Im not sure when the small person is due. Maybe its twins ;-) ;-) boy or gal it will have very lovely parents. Dear William and FTE share the same birthday. Our wedding anniversary is the 21st. It would be nice if the baby could share our happy day :-D
I heard about Zara and Mike. The baby will be sports mad I should think. Good news all round. Off to get the casserole now. Yes you heard correctly, its 25 degrees out there but salad does get a bit much every night :-D
