Concerts were mentioned on the Welsh thread, so l thought l'd start a thread...it may have been done before so apologies in advance:))

The Beach Boys (twice) or Jack Jones, both in Brighton,

M People at Brighton.
Shirley Bassey Brighton
Johnny Mathias..Brighton
Russel Watson with a young New Zealander female singer Katie something l think....Brighton...also seen her in Bristol Cathedral

Vics first concert was Lonni Donegan in 1968/69...Worthing

The first concert I went to, which is really showing my age, was Bobby Vee, with him were Dusty Springfield and The Searchers. I was about 16 at the time. Cannot remember where we went to.

Others since then:

Gene Pitney
Shane Fenton (before he was Alvin Stardust)
Dire Straits
Beach Boys at Wembley
Eric Clapton and Elton John at Wembley
Michael Jackson
Meat Loaf
Dave Dee, Dozy, Mick and Titch (at a dance hall in Whetstone, North London, before they were famous)
Chris Jagger (Mick's brother) at the Conservative Hall in North Finchley

Can't remember any others at the moment.

You've got my memory buds going too, Jude. Here are some I can remember:

The Animals at The Marquee Club
Manfred Mann at The Marquee Club
The Who at The Marquee Club
Shirley McClean at The Palladium
Neil Sedaka at Brighton Dome
James Last at Brighton Centre :-S

Bill Wyman's Rythm Kings in a tent in a field somewhere near Chichester (Georgie Fame did a stint on his own and Gary Brooker sang 'Whiter Shade of Pale' to his own piano accompaniment and a tenor saxophonist, which was fantastic)
Leonard Cohen at Brighton Centre

I think this list also gives my age away
