I think I'll start a thread thanking you for your 'good-will' gesture. You're a marvel, Susan ;-)

I am sure it doesn't 'really' need a special day to talk to other people Wend.:-) I was just trying to show that everyone is more friendly than we think....now that it has been proved, I am sure you will be made welcome on most threads any day of the week if you wish to chat. :-)

The one thing that the longer threads have in common is there are no arguments or bad feeling on them.....That is why I knew we would be welcome :-) :-) Hopefully some of you will go back to the threads and join in on other days. :-)

Wend, you have everyones permission to thread hop tomorrow, now we have broken them in they will be used to strangers knocking on their door. And it really was great fun.

Blimey Flo - you've been busy chatting to all and sundry to-day, haven't you? What a lovely idea you had, Susan Wiv, but can we have a few more days of thread hopping, because I haven't had time for socialising to-day and feel I've missed out - if I say *please* nicely and politely.?? One or two others have been conspicuous by their absence, so I definitely think it needs a few more days . . . . .

PS A few days ago I was gazing at my dear old hosepipe longingly and then I did a couple of *rain dances* round the garden and, hey presto, it's done nothing but p*** with rain ever since and, guess what, my house is even looking clean and tidy because of it :-D

*Whispers - I've got to be very careful this year, because in 2006, the last time we had a ban, I got a warning letter from the Water Board, say no more, say no more . . . . .

Our weather has been a bit like that too. I blame it on the hosepipe ban....If they hadn't imposed one it wouldn't have rained :-D

Thanks to everyone who has joined in the visit a thread day...What a great bunch you are...and for those who couldn't quite get up the courage....not to worry....by now I am sure everyone can see that the threads are not as cliquey as they thought they were and that if one sticks to the rules of politeness they will be welcome on most threads.

Please forgive me if I haven't visited your thread ( some will say thank goodness I am sure :-D ) It is nothing against anyone....I just couldn't keep up with it...I didn't realise it would take off the way it did.

The day is still not over to take the plunge and visit a thread you have never visited before if you haven't already done so. :-D
