years ago some companies got together
and asked me to go in the race for the mayor of my town
ray mallon got it in the end (google the name confessions for drugs)
i told them i was to honest and didn't need an ego boost
as i was nobody's puppet even with their backing
i had no intentions of doing what they requested when asked
if i did the job
i would do it honestly and they backed off

I saw it the first time. There are an awful lot of exemptions listed there though, and it seems clear to me there are far too many loopholes.

they have already started by stating that fat people wont be allowed treatment for weight related illnesses on the .n.h.s, how dare they say that,these fat people may have worked for 30yrs payed national insurance,so they are intitled to care,as is the smoker and the heart patient,and the person with type 2 diabetes,they hae all brought the illnesses on themselves due to their lifestyles,they pay into the n.h.s. is it fair that they wont be treated?but someone who walkes into this country will a long running health problem will be treated and recieve after care for nothing,is that fair? :-(

I only went to look because I remember when my nephew came back over from Aus' he had to see a doctor and had to pay,. though it was his own dr and he was still registered with him and had his NHS number.

Joy, a friend of mine was asked to stand as a labour candidate for the council in the 1980's and got plenty of backing from the party until he said that he was going to be honest and do what he thought was best for the people who he would be representing and guess what,

that does not happen now rose.anyone can walk into a .n.h.s hospital and get care,its really not right.
ive seen whole familys coming in and demanding check ups.and our drs dont argue. :-(

here's something to ponder on

last week I took a friend to Heathrow Airport - Virgin Terminal - there is an office there purely for foreigners leaving our shores after residing here where they can take all their receipts and reclaim all the VAT they have paid whilst living here - for everything except food. The queue was never ending - mostly Egyptians whilst I was there - I had no idea that happened

Suzanne, My wife works for the nhs and the hospital she works at treat every one, with out charge
They have had a illegal on a ward now for 4 years who came here because he had aids and wanted treatment immigration will not remove him and the hospital don't want the publicity (probably because of political pressure) and it cost use about 5k a week to treat him with the cost of the bed and medication, he steals from other patients and bullies staff into going to the shops to buy him fags and she comes across this sort of thing on a regular basis

I do no of several immigrant workers that go home for about 3 months at a time and they claim all their tax back when they return

I've just been reading up a bit, on the proposals for generating future jobs by the improvements to the infrastructure of roads, railways etc and by the 'right to buy' of council houses and investing the money back into building new homes. "The government's aim is to build one new home - to be let at up to 80% of the market rent - for each property sold."

The latter would certainly help people on a lower wage.

heres a point before i go to bed
mothers with children over 5 now have to sign on and get a job
but where are all thoses jobs coming from
not that i am complaining i think it would be a good idea
if there was enough jobs to go round

the only people i can see been kept in jobs
are the people who work at the job centres
like i said earlier
we need this government to make jobs for people to do

:-D a comment to insense the ladies before I make for bed too, it was suggested to me this week apropos the shortage of jobs that it was time "women got back in the kitchen where they belong" ;-) thus leaving the jobs for the men ........discuss ;-)
