Thank God. It's a long road to recovery now. They have to find out why it happened, then treat it. Hopefully he'll be ok now.

You could tell immediately that it was serious because the camera 'live' at that moment captured someone trying to turn him onto his back. He was not floppy but his legs appeared stiff. Hubby and I figured he might be fitting; seen it in our son and it's scary. The camera pulled away did not return to the scene and no other camera went to the group on the pitch. You could tell though by the faces of the guys on the pitch and the crowd that it was bad. I hope we are wrong, but I'm awfully afraid that things aren't good. I've had my radio on and there is no news coming out but like I said, I hope I'm wrong.

Our daughter plays football. We never take the privilege of having children for granted. I feel so sick for his family. Come on son.

Means he isn't gone.

My Dad works down the Spurs and not long got back home, He said there was a specialist heart doc with the medics on the pitch & he's in Barts hospital (I thought he would be in the North Mid which is nearer but Dad said Barts is good for <3 as he's had some heart procedures done there himself.

edit, dad said Barts not Whittington durrrr!

Have seen this before when young fit people collapse for no apparent reason, so sad hope he recovers.

Having been out all day, I was shocked and saddened a short time ago to hear the news of this young man's collapse.

He, and all connected with him are in my thoughts and prayers.

And who in their right mind would RR this thread?
