Total Score: 18/24 (75 %)
You have PASSED the Test
You need to get at least 75% (18 Questions correct) to pass this test

It was the questions about benefits and a few geography type ones that lowered my score.....lol...oh well...it's a pass...just x

I took it about 20 mins ago having seen it spoken about on FB lol x

AnninGlos Report 28 Feb 2012 10:12

I also failed stray and I am not surprised the questions are horrendous to answer off the top of your head. I would be surprised if anyone passed I got 11/24

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 28 Feb 2012 10:14

I wonder if people will have the chance to take a course on it.

Rambling Report 28 Feb 2012 10:27

16 lol I'm out then...but being realistic, very few people would know some of them...like when women could first divorce ( which is hardly relevant imo...what about naming some primeministers?)

Rambling Report 28 Feb 2012 10:29

Ann, don't know if you noticed

"Life in the United Kingdom: A Journey to Citizenship - 2nd Edition

Contains all the official learning material for the test - you MUST read this book to pass your test! Written by the Home Office Life in the UK Advisory Group, the people who set the citizenship test, this official handbook is essential reading."

so that's alright then ;-) just a case of none of us having read the book yet :-D

haha put it this way it terrifies me bringing my son up in todays world, never mind just our country :-(

ChAoTicintheNewYear

ChAoTicintheNewYear Report 28 Feb 2012 11:17

I got 15.

"In the 1980s, the largest immigrant groups were from the United States, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand."

I found this interesting, especially with the way the media goes on about immigration. I wonder what the more recent figures are.

#2 I got half right.

Education at state schools is free...so long as you ignore all those letters they send home requesting money for x, y and z :-P

#15 was about training opportunities but didn't specify exactly what they meant by training opportunities.

A lot of the questions, to me, are irrelevant to being a citizen.

StrayKitten

StrayKitten Report 28 Feb 2012 11:25

i think so to Cat, altho i like your replies to the education question, only yesterday we got another coffee afternoon and bingo invite haha x

ChAoTicintheNewYear Report 28 Feb 2012 11:33

Mine have left school now Stray but I still remember the sometimes seemingly endless barrage of requests.

Another forum I go on has this subject come up quite often. One poster said she kept track one term of how much her son's school asked for. It came to about £100 :-0

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 28 Feb 2012 12:17

I took the test

Questions answered correctly: 14 out of 24 (58%)

Time taken: 04 minutes 20 seconds

the site Say's
This practice test is presented in a format that closely resembles the Official Test. Whilst the questions that we have selected are not the actual test questions,

All i can say about the test is that based on the questions asked it looks like it was put together by a group of MP's that have had no contact with the real British people due to the time they all spend with their heads up each others arses,
