jude thats fantastic, but is it a bit to much weight in a short time, please be carefull when i met you you certainly didnt need to lose weight xxx sorry for going on though :-D

As you can see I have been a member for some time - used to be very active on the boards but for some time have only contributed now and then. Partly this was because my access to a computer became limited but also because, when people started changing their names I did not know who had posted - confusing!! There are people on this thread t. hat I do know (or at least they look familiar now). All that rigmarole is leading to a plea for a virtual hug and a prayer or two if you can - please!!
Those of you who do know me will remember that back in 2005 I posted a similar request when my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a Lumpectomy and later her Lymph Nodes removed, a year of chemo and radiotherapy - a few problems causing some stressful kspells in hospital and then 5 years of check ups - last February she was told "5 years clear - we only need to see you once a year now. So this February she duly had her mammogram preparatory to her check - only to be told her cancer was back. Today she has undergone a mastectomy and further lymph node removals - just heard she is back on the ward and comfortable. Thing is she is adamant she will not have chemo again and her Oncologist has said this is vital. So please can you all cross your fingers/legs/eyes or whatever you do for luck that we can persuade her to change her mind.

kathleen your more than welcome to chat on here but i also have a cancer thread going , where people may have some ideas as they have been through similar, i hope your daughter changes her mind, i ve seen what chemo does to people but we know it can be the answer to living, please if you feel happier posting on here you stay put, i thought i would just let you know.

wish you lots of love and your daughter all the luc in the world, remmeber to take time out for your self too it can be very draining and worry causes you lack of sleep etc xxxxx take care xx

Kathleen i remember you from way back , and i send best wishes to your daughter and we will all keep everything crossed for her,i know it must be quite hard for you so we are sending special thoughts to you as well as your daughter

So here we go,,firstly hello to everyone, i do know a few,I have been a member since 2004 i think,got told off the first time i posted asking for help.but did post on other board a few times but found it fast and a little frightening then to what it is now,my first no tree contact was with Dutch and that has built into a good friendship also met a few lovely ladies in Sheffield Liz Sallie and Jude which was made possibble by Joyce bugging me,,but really glad she did.so hopefully will join you all on here from time to time Been reading through the thread and the latest one is Kathleens and would just like to say Ihave everything crossed for you and your daughter send all the best wishes and prayers possible,Take care everyone Sheila,

Welcome back Sheila and Kathleen.

Kathleen so sorry that your daughter has had to go all through it again. I do hope that she will change her mind about the chemo but it has to be her decision. We will all keep our fingers crossed that she decides to go for it. You may not know that my daughter had a grade 2 lump just before christmas, found at the first mammogram after she was 50. Her lump was grade 2 and the only lymph node affected was the sentinel so she has not had to have chemo, just 3 weeks of radio therapy. I am hoping that she will stay clear, but sadly your daughter has proved that it can return any time. How old is your daughter? Good luck and lots of positive thoughts for her and for you at this worrying time.

sheila your welcom im glad this thread is helping people, i hope we all meet up later in the year ive met jude, and ann in cardif there were a few othwers but memory is bad, well im going to watch a sooky film if its poo ile be back onxx
