General Chat

...the chat board was a bit of a free for all ...mostly jabbing and laughter...I always considered the General board to be a bit more grown up....hence being happier in chat...lol

For me ...this site has lost some of it's magic since the change to one board. Lots of different personalities who were better off not mixing now having to co-exist ....

....maybe it's just me ...

lol I know there can't actually be fewer threads over all but I used to pop over from one to the other for a different 'tone', not all the 'serious' topics were on Gen, nor all the 'fun' ones on Chat but it was nice to go over when one board was a bit dull...

I rather agree with you there Muffy.
Many is the time when I have run through the General Chat Board, and not found anything to add to, I go down the list again to click onto the other Board. Force of habit I suppose.

The only good thing about the change over was getting rid of those cursed A-Z's..........grrrrr.

I'm thinking it may now be time for a separate positive thoughts board....

Nowt against anyone who is directly asking for them for themselves or husband or sibling or child etc.

But having to plough through a page somedays of positive thoughts for Uncle Tom Cobleys cat does get a bit boring

I think that's a good idea Muffy, and not in a negative way at all, it could have the threads which used to be on here like Carol B's Garden of Remembrance which was a comfort to many and a link to the candle site.

That way those seeking positive thoughts and prayers would have a calm place to post, and those who are best at sending comforting words and/or have a belief in the power of prayer could use them to best effect. :-D

I dont know about about a positve thoughts board more a professional mouners one would suit better......jeeze have you ever seen such negitivity its like people religious sect that are not allowed to smile and be happy... :-D
