A small group of us have been 'scribbling' for two years now, and though our numbers have dwindled somewhat we'd like to keep going as it is very enjoyable and interesting, both to read and to write.

There are no hard and fast rules, work can be factual, fiction, poetry,prose. Any and all styles of writing are welcomed and criticism (if asked for) is always constructive and is very very gently given.

We send work by email which makes it easy to send to everyone at once, but I think we're happy to accommodate anyone who'd rather PM it through here.

Yes, and we could do with some new blood to lift us out of the rut!!! I know I have got very lazy about writing since about November, mainly down to making Christmas cards and only having 2 hands and half a brain.

I have just picked up a book in the local Works shop called Writing Fiction so I am hoping that it will work miracles for me. :-D :-D

I missed that bit out BC :-D ...but there's no reason why one of the group should not turn out to be the next JK, or Maeve Binchy, or Catherine Cookson...and rich! ... and it's easier to be slim if you can afford a personal trainer ;-)

ZZzzz why not join us and bounce the chapters off us as you do it. We might be able to help you.

Ann , if there is some good advice in there please forward snippets, and any suggestions for topics would be welcome I'm sure even if I never stick to them lol.

ZZzzz it would be lovely if you share some of your writing, we have all done bits of writing on our family history I think, it often gives a bit of encouragement or a new idea of how to set it down.

Rose are you going to put the basics on here? i.e. are we reverting to sending something/anything out at weekends or are we going 'free flow' which is what we have been doing lately.

I assume you will pm new people with the e mail addresses of those members who are still active if theyw ant to do it that way. We really need to know who is sending/receiving by e mail and who by PM don't we?

OK. Rose for the first topic. Give me two numbers from one to six please. I have a 'fiction square in front of me. These numbers will give the two characters in a story.
