Jim was a facebook friend of mine, Kay. His brother posted on there to let us know, would it be appropriate for me to C & P this in a FB message, do you think? |

Would it be possible to get this thread to the family for them to read when ready how much "their lovely" Jim was regarded by many fellow members. |

Very sad to hear about Jim or "Jim on the Solent " as he was known in the early days. He always loved to arrange a meet somewhere. |

Such sad news. As others have said, Jim was a true gentleman and will be missed by all his genealogy friends on the various sites for his help and humour. |

I am so sad to read this, a lovely man who we both met at Droitwich and, he helped me a lot with my research in Gosport. Straight talking but with a great sense of humour too. Condolences from myself and Tony to Jim's family. Rest in peace Jim. |
