For those of us that remember him..


Grampa Jim (Weatherall) passed away this morning,,,,,such a lovely humorous.funny,helpful gentleman he truely was.....gone to join our other GR greats..thoughts to his family.

Kay...thank you for telling us, this is such sad news and a shock!! l did'nt know he was ill.
Yes Jim was brilliant as you say, it was a sad day when he left the boards and an even sadder day now that he has passed away!!
l had the pleasure to meet Jim at Droitwich, a lovely man!

So sorry to read this, Jim was such a good chap, another stalwart gone to a better place, hope he is enjoying a chat with Deanna and others who have left us.

I was so shocked to read this on FB today especially as Jim only posted yesterday to say he was in hospital.

So sad to read this news. Both me and Chris send our condolences to his family and friends.

I was lucky to meet Grandpa Jim when he came to my Geordie Meet and the start of my Gaynor Bear Relay.
I have fond memories, what a laugh we had with Jim and his St. George's Day flag in the middle of Newcastle. I shall cherish the photographs that I have.

I am so sorry to hear about Grampa Jim, and send my sincere condolences to his family.
Grampa Jim was one of the very few GR people I have met in person, and I found him to be a really likeable chap with a great sense of humour. He was sadly missed when he left GR, and he's still missed now.
