Loved the programme, Emma, and the clothes are manificent, but the adverts realyl annoy me as just as you are getting in to the story and characters, there those blummin ads are again! And Stray wouldn't like it cos there is not enough blood and gore! :-D Did Thomas actually lose his hand/arm? I looked away for a moment. BC XX

BC I think it was a straight through shot to the hand, now
I thought Stray would not be into blood and gore :-D
I don't think there is one person who likes the ads and they
certainly annoy me also, why oh why don't they fit in with when
nature calls!!

That's what I thought Emma, but surely if a sniper shot the hand it would be blown to smithereens? And yes our lovely Stray loves those 'Saw' movies and stuff...*shudders in ladylike fashion......

:-D

I had to switch rooms at 10 pm as daughter wanted to watch Kardashians on cable. By the time I got upstairs, the adverts were on. Just got settled with the right specs and lo and behold adverts again. I may give up and watch it on
'On Demand'. but not the same.

Noted in todays' papers according to my OH that STV have
been slammed for pushing in as much adverts as they could.
It is now being called Downton Addy!!! 9 million viewers can't
be wrong when they said it spoiled their viewing. STV said "There
were 5 centre breaks across the 90 min. episode, which is in line
with other dramas of this duration."

Looking forward to it. Hope the Dr/Officer and the eldest daughter get together (I'm terrible for names)

Love Hugh Bonneville. Thomas will always be that chap from Eastenders.

I am pleased that you enjoyed it :)

Concerning a similar type of programme, Upstairs, Downstairs, I have read that Jean Marsh has had a minor stroke and the script is being rewritten as she will not be able to be in the first episodes. Hope she recovers well. -

hadn't heard that about Jean Marsh, also a great fan of Upstairs
Downstairs. Hope she recovers soon, heard that James Bolem
is not going to take part in the next series of New Tricks, pity
cause that is another programme I like.

Yes, I read that about the next series of New Tricks, a great shame; it is one of my favourite programmes, too :)

This is another period drama that I have enjoyed. It was on yesterday but I cannot remember which channel.
