Thanks to Jane for attending on our behalf, nice that you had Daisy for company altho I know you were prepared to be there alone.

Thanks Daisy, I am so glad you were able to meet Jane and sit together, sharing tissues no doubt.

Tony and Allan are both lovely men and I am glad they have received comfort from all the messages. They were a perfect threesome and Deanna was so proud of Tony, and so happy to have him as her son.

How lucky that I was able to find out about Deanna's hospitalisation (via Tony's number I had kept in my phone after my visit) so that we were able to let her know how much we all cared and now those and messages since have helped a little for Deanna's menfolk.

I will add a little more that Daisy told me later tonight.

I am adding a little bit of an email Tony sent me last evening, and the story was told to Daisy and Jane as well......

Allan was looking in the wardrobe thinking about what to wear for the funeral and " my dads 'funerals and weddings outfit' fell off the rack in the wardrobe, the hanger didn't break, it just unhooked itself from the rack!"

Deanna helping him decide I think, don't you?

Jane was kind enough to have some flowers, roses and freesias, in her car to either leave with other flowers (there were just a few, a red rose from Allan and a yellow rose from Tony, and some other small wreaths/posies) or to give the family afterwards. After speaking to Tony Jane asked if he would like the flowers and he accepted, and they are now at Deanna's house, where Allan decided they would be the replacement for the dead flowers Dutch sent on our behalf before Deanna went into hospital. You may remember Allan wouldn't let Tony throw them out until after the funeral, now he has a new little reminder that we still care and they will brighten his day I hope.

Thank you Jane, you got it just right.

Farewell on your nest journey Deanna.

Thank you to Jane and Daisy, and Liz and Dutch.

I am still stunned by the thought of her leaving us. If we on the boards miss her (as we do) it must be so much worse for Tony and Allan.

My thoughts are with them, I am sure that Deanna would be so proud of you both.

Farewell my dear Deanna. I hope you are surrounded in Heaven with all your friends and family, and loved ones.

You can now relax, and not worry about the shopping, cooking, housework, a bad word for you, any longer.

Thoughts of Alan,Tony, and all who knew you.

Miss you Deanna

xx <3

There are still things in the post to Dutch so she hasn't a final total yet, probably won't be till next week but it will be a good amount to go direct in Deanna's name to Casa Alianza and will do a lot of good.

I am still in touch with Tony - he and Allan are getting by. He hadn't realised Daisy and Jane hadn't been asked back to Lisa's afterwards but sends his apologies to you both. I expect there were several people who wanted to speak with him and Allan and I hope there were smiles as well as sadness as others remembered our quirky caring friend Deanna.

It doesn't surprise me at all Caz, that so many people want to show how much Deanna touched their lives, she was such a special person.

Tony and Allan took the donations they received to Casa Alianza the other day and it was closed, on Wednesday they went again via a different route, (the base is in Kettering) got stuck in traffic and so were late and missed them so they have posted them with a note saying they were donated in memory of Deanna. The charity will be surprised to get a second lot in a while, won't they? What a good tribute to Deanna.

It wasn't the amount of people Liz, it was the amount of money I was refering to, people will always read into things what they want to.
