Prickles, they don't sell feather dusters at farm shops.

Wend, I thought she had Shares in "Tena Lady" pmsl. ;-),Other than that find a good plumber. Beetroot must never be pickled otherwise you end up looking like a prune after eating it. and don,t forget the Shallots or Julia of Derbyshire will be miffed :-D

Shane ~~~

The link to photos has always been poor - hidden somewhere amongst videos and not at all inviting. Maybe I'll brave it and post a thread on suggestions :-D

I think your cauli looks lovely - His Nibs asked if you used permangenate of potash :-S but I say that would make it brown - having bathed in it in student days :-0 :-0 :-D

Merlin,
I thought Pickles and Wend shared a tena too :-D

PricklyHolly Report 29 Jul 2011 18:56

Dizzi......there were no red spring onions at the farm shop and no cauliflower with the roughage intact and no purple cauliflowers and no crisp white sticks of cerery eever!! Boo hoo! :-(

I did buy a jar of pickled shallots (not as good as my own mind!) and a jar of pickled beetroot which on the jars said........"Made with Love"

When i was now't but knee high to a grasshopper, i would go absolutely besesk at the sound of a bumble bee, let alone if one came anywhere near me.
Anyway, me and the family went to the sea side one day and my Mum had packed a lovely salad picnic.
Just as my Mum handed me the opened jar of beetroot.....
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
I waved my arm's around like a thing demented and we all ended up covered from head to toe in the stuff!!
I laugh about it now but i will never forget the look of sheer horror on my Mums face.
We all arrived home pink and its was now't to do with sunburn.
I am sure that if it wasn't for the fact that we were in a public place, i would have been given a pink h'arse to go with it!!

Aw, happy day's! :-D

Island

Island Report 29 Jul 2011 19:13

No red spronions, no rough cauli, no purple cauli????
Beetroot made with love, ruined with vinegar???
What a rubbish shop!!! :-D :-D :-D
