BC you should at least be wearing a book jacket.

Island and BC
well he will LOL if something is really funny and he loves Bobtanians jokes on 'Thread Killers' but he is not at all amused if he is watching Eastenders at the time.

This is becoming degenerate again, I can't possibly let my hubby know the sort of people I mix with now.
Tho he did say now I am 70 I can be as rude as I like.

Hi Georgina,

if I look back at my first posts in 2006/7 some of them were 'ignored' you might say lol but it wasn't deliberate, more people talking 'over' my post. Quite often that is down to the process of typing ...I often miss people's posts because I'm still typing the reply to the one before. :-)

I think it's like joining anything really, a bit difficult if you think everyone already knows each other, but it's much easier to do on a website ... for one thing you don't have to get dressed up before you walk in ;-)

Hi
I don't know what you call 'new blood' as I have been on Gr since February.

I have had a lot of kind helpfulness and met some nice people who have kept in touch.

I'm afraid I have received a few nasty comments, and have been totally ignored when I have ventured on to some threads which really put me off posting. I am NOT such a confident person that I will post on any threads, and I am afraid my sense of humour is probably not
what is liked here,

Yes, having tried to read through some of the threads - some of which are far too long - I thought they were really cliquey. and I felt like an intruder and gave up the idea of joining in.

I'm just getting some response from a few nice ladies but I wish it had happened months ago , before I decided to leave.

No Probs Julia.

talking about threads and newbies not adding to them. There are some I find intimidating strangely enough, just went to look on one which is a very long thread. Thought I hadn't looked at it in a long while and it is an interesting title and used to be good to read and add to. Had to giggle when it turned out to have developed into the equivalent of the old unthreaded chat board. didn't add to it because it was like breaking into a private conversation.
