Hi Dolly, how are you doing this week? I have just been weighed and have lost 2lb - this makes half a stone in all. Hooray!!!! But it has been very hard going.

Dolly Report 27 Jul 2011 15:03

Hi Barbra, yes it is a points system, point amount is worked out by your hright and weight. It is so simple to follow, the best yet with weight watchers, I have done them before but not with this system, its easy to follow.I don't eat WW bread, as ordinary bread is only 2 points per slice and fills me up more

Helen, well done! :-D

I weighed in again today and lost another 2lbs! I have 5lbs more to lose in the next 3 weeks so that will be then a stone and a half before our wedding anniversary. So far I have lost 1 stone 2lbs, and now just into the 12stone range!!, haven't been in the 12s for absolutely ages. I am really chuffed with myself :-D :-D :-D

I was surprised when I weighed myself this morning. I have lost 900 grams since yesterday morning. I dont know how I did it as I didnt do anything yesterday, apart from sleeping for 2 hours after breakfast and another 2 after lunch! I didnt go to bed until midnight last night and didnt get up until 9.45 a.m. I think I might have a chest infection so am going to see the doc this afternoon.

BTW, my weight is now 82.5 kg, or just under 13 stone, like you Brenda. It is a long time since I have been there. I dont follow any 'special' diet, just eating well (lots of fruit and veg, low fat everything.)

Aaaagh, my weight today is up 1.2kg. Makes me wonder if I misread the scales yesterday. Will have to go for a good stiff hike, if the weather permits. But then I have a cold at present and dont feel like hiking.

Huia, do you weigh yourself too often? What I mean is, if you stick to once a week and wear the same clothes then you will see the weight changes
properly rather than scaring yourself every other day!!

Hi Everyone, I've had another excellent weigh in, another 1 1/2lbs off!
Just 3 1/2lbs to do in the next 19 days and I will be really happy,
my aim, 1.1/2 st before the 22nd.

Well done, Dolly. I went on one of those machines in tesco - it does your height, weight and bmi, and it said I have lost over an inch in height since last September, it can't be right as I am sure I was measured at the docs a short while back and was the same height as always, 5'6" My weight is now 13 st 1.4 lbs and last Sept was 13st 10lb so hope I can lose a lot more by Sept when we may go abroad for a holiday.
I would feel, and look, so much better without my big tum lol

By the way, have just started meds for the higher bp I have been suffering.
First one taken today so will let you know how I get on when I have had a few more, doc said main side effects could be headaches and flushed face, lovely! I have to go back in two weeks for bp check to see if they are helping.

Hi Everyone,

Liz I hope you are ok on your BP meds.

Barbra, I am still doing my WW, I have been again today, I've lost another 1lb, so I am gradually getting there. In total now I have lost 18 1/2 lbs,
thats 1st 4 1/2 lbs!! I am pretty pleased with myself :-)

I am really looking forward to my couple of days away with hubby, it will be our first time away on our own since we've known each other, we didn't have a honeymoon, my daughter broke her arm quite badly the day before the wedding so we didn't get away.
Hopefully this time it will be good, kids are grown up now and are looking after my hens and Sid, my cat.
They are good at looking after things and ding things around the house, they both cook and know how to use a vaccum, not sure they will do washing even though they know how to use the washing machine. I've trained them well ;-)

Well I went out to eat last evening, had pasta meal but it wasn't very big and drank water, had no starter or dessert so shouldn't have been too bad.

I want to weigh myself on Tuesday before I go to see the nurse to get my bp checked and will ask to be weighed there as well, then it will give me an idea whether our scales are accurate. If they are I seem to have gained weight again, a month ago at the doc's I was 82 kg now our scales say I am 85 kg!

i don't think I have had any side effects from the medication, bit hard to tell as I sometimes get hot flushes anyway but I am feeling a bit low, several factors contributing tho so don't think it's the tablets.
Will see what happens when I see the nurse next week and get my next lots of medication.

Hope you are ok Dolly and still keeping up the good work

Morning everyone,

I hope everyone is well?

I haven't been on this thread for a while.
I thought I would update you.
Up until last wednesday, I have lost in total 21 1/2 lbs, I didn't make the 21lbs by the 22nd as intended, I didn't put any on either :) so thats a bonus, the weight just wouldn't shift quick enough for that date, but I am there now, so thats a bonus!
I weigh in today so shall add my new weight here later.

Well done, all of you. I am stuck at a 9lb weight loss and have been for ages - but it's been a busy summer so I am grateful not to have gained anything. I wear a pedometer all the time and make sure I do 10.000 steps a day, even if I have to march for a bit on the spot!

Brilliant Dolly. I had a blip but managed to loose weight in the last month including on holiday last week. Now 17 lbs in total. Resisting cake and chocolate at work now seems easier.

Wish I could do the 10,000 steps a day like Helen and am most impressed with you both :-)

No hope for me at the mo, have just eaten a lovely bowl of Youvetsis, pasta shaped like grains of rice with beef, cheese and olive oil. Have been walking a bit more so maybe I can balance things out but have had some lovely greek food these past days and walked back from the village afterwards.

No scales so not worrying lol

Very well done Dolly.

I have been watching this with interest, having been slimming (with Slimming World) since March - 40lbs so far, 30 or so to go! Aiming at total of around 5 stones off. I only lose 1/2-1lb a week but that suits me fine. No exercise apart from walking to the fidge!! I hate exercise though I am aware it has health benefits before anyone says anything.

Keep it up Dolly, just think of those slinky outfits you will be able to wear!
