Im now 8th in the queue for the bungalow!! Looks like I wont be getting it..It is so frustrating no matter what I bid on there is always lots of people ahead of me..I remember one place I bid on in March and I was 107th in the queue..

How did two people get ahead of you do you know? is it a points system? If so is there any way you are going to be able to acquire more points.

Hi Ann..

Its a bidding system depending on what band you are in..Im in Gold plus which is second highest band...You only get platinum band if you are going to be homeless within 4 weeks!!
Im going to be homeless in 7 weeks time....It also depends how long you have been in the band you are in...People will be before me if they have been in the band longer than me, even though I am living downstairs and cant get upstairs to the bathroom...

If I havent got anywhere by 25th June (my leaving date) i will be put in a hostel!!! oh the joy...

I hope I do Ann but its wether they have a suitable property as I cant do stairs and the chance of getting anything in Salisbury is very very rare...Thats why the bungalow I have bid on would be perfect as it is in Salisbury..

So are there any downstairs flats as well to bid on? Or flats in a block with a lift? Just wondering, if you are confined to only bidding for bungalows it must be difficult.

I have nearly packed up all of my house!! Even though I still havent got a place...The house is full of boxes, last count it was 29!! Still need about 7 more boxes!!! Didnt realise I had so much stuff....
I guess my things being in boxes makes it look alot!!

Still havent heard anything but heres hoping..

Good luck with the bidding Jules. I know that it's probably of little comfort, but as the date that you have to move comes nearer you'll shoot up the list :-) Also, a lot of councils reserve properties for people who have difficulties with stairs etc., that only they can bid for.

Well I didnt get that bungalow!! I didnt think I would...The person that got it didnt need ground floor accomodation but did need 2 bedrooms...Bidding starts again tomorrow, I bet there is nothing for me......
