Tried to get a tube of Germolene is T.....'s this morning. They only had the cream, which was disappointing. Didn't have time to go to a chemist. |

The red polish was called Cardinal. it used to tread everywhere if you trod on it before it was dry! There was a corridor in an army hospital where I was stationed, and it was polished with red cardinal. As the nursing staff also did the cleaning, I well remember swinging a bumper to shine it up, good for the waistline1 For those who dont know, a bumper was a heavy block used with a cloth to shine up, it was on a broom handle length handle and had a hinge at the business end so that you could swing it back and forth. |
