A bunch of regulars on the help boards turned down the xbribex offer to become "official" whatever they ares. And I think most of us think the whole idea sucks.

No, nobody else can post there -- only the person asking the question and the starry ones.

And somebody thinks this isn't going to result in massive duplication? I know that if I didn't get a reply on the regular boards, I'd sure be going to these experts for help. In fact, I'm thinking of doing just that with a couple of elusive ancestors ...

In fact, why would anybody post on the regular boards at all, when these hotshots are available to sort things out??

And yes, I want time of day back. I'm over here in the outer western darkness, and the only way I can keep myself somewhat oriented to things going on in GMT is to see the times.

Well I can see its going to cause a segregation between helpers who gel and rub off on each others findings.

Janey, I know it is a forlorn hope that 'they' might take notice. But why don' you make that point about time of day to the powers that be. I have contacted them with my thoughts on the changes. Especially don't like the time I waste having to make each thread individually go to last post first. Why wont they listen.

Hi Dee, i totally agree with everything you say. It is bound to cause more duplicate postings as has been the case on there today. Perhaps the volunteers should not have volunteered!! lol

I have asked again lol...no one could help ( though many fine people have tried) before, so there may be people in the clinic who didn't try last time :) If not it still won't get answered but it's worth a shot :))
