LOL Rose , what a coincidence , I have a cat called Twinkle sitting on my lap right now and back in 1964 we had one as well . Was you Twinkle Tabby by any chance ?

I too left school in 1969 and still have the apron I had to make for Domestic Science - probably the only thing I have sewn that has not fallen apart. lol

I used to read Twinkle comic.

My Nan had a cat called Twinkle - she overfed it.

SueMaid I have my cookery book from school also, it was the 'Stork ' (margarine) cookbook.

Amanda , Twinkle was black and white...most of our cats were back then, though I've had one tabby since, and a tabby and white, and a grey cat called 'Smokey' who was a stray hit by a car, not expected to survive but mum nursed him back to health...he had brain damage so was a bit 'vague' at times...fitted in well with the family lol.

Rach' was it still or sparkling?

Libby I have an apron I made when i was six...I hated sewing.

Sheila I used to read Twinkle, they gave little bracelets on the cover, do you remember lol.

I'm not surprised you are dropping pegs Sue , it can't be easy to type and hang out washing at the same time .

My Mum cheated in a Twinkle competition , she drew a picture and put my name on it ( aged 6 ) I won a Tresse doll ; O

I did a geography assignment for my son and I got 82% for it and a 'well done!!'.

I'm soooo boring I can hang out clothes and type at the same time.
