Hello Rose, theres a lovely church in Chesterton, Warwickshire that's open. Its steeped in history, some very interesting stories. The verger discreetly rumages around at the back of the church keeping an eye on things.

That's nice Romany Star :) I loved the little Catholic church in Dolgellau Wales ( as I've mentioned here before) that was open daily and I don't think I have been in such a lovely church....if God is anywhere he was definitely there . The priest responsible for its building came from Malta, to the town with a very tiny Catholic community and started off giving services in a barn, later getting the church built which looks very old but isn't, beautiful windows :)

May not interest anyone who hasn't been there, but some one loved it and found the story interesting enough to create a website :
