I did not see the Friday night unpleasantness but am saddened to hear that Rose has left and hope that she will reconsider.

To anyone who upset Rose. Think of this. If you had left would there be anyone in your corner asking you to reconsider? Perhaps it is just jealousy as Rose is articulate, intellegent and fair. She is also very good at playing devils advocate.

I do wish if anyone who cannot be constructive in their argument did not post comments which are designed to stir. Also that when these goading comments are posted that they are ignored and not acknowledged in any shape or form then perhaps the poster will get the message that their opinion is not appreciated. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.

Ice Ice, I totally agree with you about speculation, and it causing suspicion. But, having flaunted one life ban, are they, a few months down the line, come back and do it again. I think they will, they know how to circumvent the system.
I was subject myself to the outragious behavour of one of them, on more than one occassion, and believe you me, it was despicable. I also saw the attack on Rose on Friday night, and the language used, and I can quite honestly say that it was horrendous.
I sincerely hope that Rose, is not too traumatised by what happened..

well, one is notorious for using that account when banned from her main one and is known to have more accounts also. As for the other I'm sure she is on at least 2 life bans as when GR discovered she was using a new account they banned her for life on that one too.

BC you are right there was more than one. I think the intent was apparant that they were out to get Rose and maybe others too. Rose is very wise in that she is always fair. I feel she knows already that the majority wanted and needed her to stay.

Yes,yes BC there was more than one, and two of them were working together. Not bad for two people that were supposed to be on a life ban from GR. Like to know how they did that.

BC, your opinion is correct. I saw Friday night's war, and it was very,very unpleasant However, when I was having trouble with this person, very few became involved, so she was allowed to carry on, until it culminated in the demise of Rose, who, as you so rightly state, has much much more to contribute to this site.

I think that....,Rose should have stayed, in spite of being subjected to such nasty, vicious jibes. I can totally understand her leaving, but much better to stay and help Banish the Wums! After all, they are in such a small minority and contribute nothing but drunken ,inarticulate nastiness and Rose has so much more to contribute to the boards. In my opinion:-) BC XX

I think its about time we all started to ignore people who go out of their way to Goad, after all...they are just a name on a chat board. They are not important.......

It's very sad Julia. Not all of us get along, we are all very diverse and rightly so. But to go to such lengths to rid the boards of certain members is absurd.

Perhaps it was the sole intent from the outset of THAT person, to get rid of Rose. Afterall with the demise from Chat of our Empress, Muffy, et al, their was only Rose who stood in her way. She was goading Rose about her being the head of the Chat board.
I knew she was up to no good, but was not taken seriously.

I think that ... I agree with Joy. This site is not the same without Rose and I trust she is reading this and knowing she is wanted by so many more than she realises.

Our parish church is open for part of every day and on Wednesdays there are guides to show people around.

And, in reply to Ann in Glos, sad to say I'm pretty sure they are proud of themselves. How pathetic is that?

It must have been a sudden decision. Do hope no-one upset her.



Going back to churches ................. I'm not religious, but we often used to look into churches and cathedrals wherever we were, just wander around, look at the memorials etc.


But they are locked over here as well, it isn't just in the UK .......... and as Cynthia said, the reason is theft and vandalism.
