Hi Rach, she (my Dr) is trying to maintain it. My pf was 160 again today so still falling short of about 300+. She is concerned about all the rashes I am getting and thinks they are not helping the asthma so she said cut out all nuts, but tbh I eat an helck of a lot of them for energy instead of something sugary. I have to try to keep my blood sugars up also so I should really have more glucose. |

hi there footie, i have been astmatic for nearly three years. it took 7 months of coughing fits every night and various trips to the doctors before being sent to a chest specialist. after some breathing tests and monitoring my peak flow, he diagnosed me with astma. i have a preventer inhaler called symbicort 400 which i take one puff in am and one puff pm. when i need extra i have a reliever called bricanyl and can take up to 12 puffs in 24/7. |

Hi florence, thank you for your comments. Yes my red is Symbicort 200 I take 2 am and 2 pm and my blue is bricanyl 100 I can take up to 4 doses no more but my grey/purple as many as I need. I also take pills for my allergics. My pf is around 160 and the nebs are my friend. I have had a lot of bad throats from my inhalers and been told they have a mix of steriods and will put on weight and I get frequent headaches. Ifind also y mouth feels coated after taking them so have to rinse often. I feel lucky that I have finally got help, but also worried as i said on another thread so many of my ancesters on one line died young of lung related conditions and this makes me v low. thank you for you kindness shown towards me I know they are working hard to sort me out so soon I hope I can feel stronger. |

Kay I have had been in hospital and more than once it was much lower without the inhalers. It was 170 this morning, but I'm on stand by not really knowing how I will be. If you read the start of the thread, I did say I'm whats called an "hospital job" below 130 is really dangerous and yes I've been there too and yes I was very ill. It was before they knew what was happening with my lungs and spent several hours thinking it was a heart attack and doing heart traces. I none to happy this is happening to me, but even bad guys like me get sick ~ its just something I have to learn to live with and get the most out of my life. A virus wipes me out completely but thank god for nebs. The sore throat I have at the mo is a struggle as my throat is closing up. I am just trying to get on with this. |

They told me to stay off nuts, but not dairy but she mentioned citrus. I will try my best to stick to it even though I live nuts. |
