Perhaps I ought to invest in some of these solar light thingies......might stop the blasted bugs from being drawn to the light of my window......I just know it will be pandemonium if one gets in .

Do they work in the dark though?

Slightly cooler this evening with a very strong wind. Got dark and overcast about 6 pm and we were hoping it would rain. One weather forecast said it might rain, another said staying dry - who do you believe?????

I was hopeing the flying bugs wouldn't be much in evidence this year what with the ground being so hard , at least we haven't had one indoors yet .
Do the lights work when it snows too ?

Dont know not had them that long but when it snows I will dedicate a thread to it :)

They must work when the sun is shining brightly !! is that a waste of energy ?
I've got a few really old ones scattered about the boarders , they can stand years of dogs wee you know .....I'm amazed they still put out a glimmer .

Good morning everyone! Beautiful here, fresh and warm and just altogether spiffingly nice and all round jolly.

It's warm and dry in Norfolk this afternoon but there is quite a bit of cloud ( a good day for trout fishing OH said as he disappeared out the door rod in hand ) .

This is good. Temperate here with a chance of rain later, but nothing to spoil this evenings al fresco meal and pimms. Tonight it will get dark until tomorrow morning, when it will get light. If there are no clouds, you will be able to see some stars. How good is that, eh!

I hear that it is 28 degrees n Nairobi today, which is very nice but there is a chance of a shower this evening, which is not so nice.

Very windy here had to wear my emergency cardi to come home in....

It's just been raining for 3.28 minutes here. Is this the end of the summer?

How large are the droplets ? Is it just spitting rain or full on proper precipitation rain ?

Amanda - do you mean - is it stair-rods or just that fine wet stuff?

They are about the size of the petals from a narrow leafed birds foot trefoil, but smaller. It was full on for about 2.43 minutes then it eased off to a torrential downpour.

I think black suits me with my golden locks ....
