I think i should have one of those bathing caps LOL

You know the ones with flowers all over that stink of rubber !!

I've been making ice cubes too Ann, i do four trays at a time ,freeze them and then put them in an old ice cream tub.

Where's my pic of Mandy in the pool????

I have'nt got one!!!!

Just been pottering in the garden as it's too hot to do anything much. I am not complaining though.

A chicken roasting in the oven and windows open in the kitchen and a nice breeze blowing through.

Ann I am really glad I am not with first hubby anymore as he was football crazy.

Jane Report 27 Jun 2010 18:32

Mandy I love the smell of rubber .Swimming caps and hot water bottles.I used to sniff the inside of my swimming cap,and take the stopper out of a Hottie Wattie bottle and I am in heaven .
No Frank today yet.I bet he is all beered out watching the footie.
I bet Lewis has wolfed that strawberry down .

Sorry about Football game------ Here it's hockey widows--- Never had that worry OG just watched big game .

Do you ever put slice of lemond in your ice cube tray when you fill up?
that way you have it for the GT.

Been there done that!!

Yes I got the piccies this time thank you.

It reminds me of the pool we had years ago.

Love the water in that photo.......all the ripples.

Jane

Jane Report 27 Jun 2010 19:31

I always have a couple of lemons to slice Shirl. They wouldn't fit in the ice cube trays

Jane

Jane Report 27 Jun 2010 19:38

Mandy ,what I do is have the big fan on and just a sheet over us .I roll the duvet down to the bottom of the bed and if I feel a bit chilly with the fan I just pull the duvet up,then chuck it off again when it gets too hot lol

Annx Report 27 Jun 2010 20:05

I've never thought to put the lemon in the ice Shirl.....good idea! It sounds nice where you live. Do they have boats on the lake.......I love boat trips across lakes, find it very restful and a different view than from the road..

I think a tub is a better idea for the cubes, Mandy, the bag is proving to be fiddly and I can see them ending up everywhere. I didn't realise you could buy them Jane......good idea when you need a lot.

I rooted in the top of the wardrobe earlier and found that flimsy, muslin top/dress I lost....it has a big tropical leaves pattern and I've been wearing it all day!! It is now my favourite in this heat.

Mel, I got it the wrong way round.........my first OH wasn't bothered about footie!! lol Speaking of OH, he has just shown me an article about a website that goes live tomorrow which may be of interest to anyone with London rellies. 240,000 documents are going on line which have not been available before.

The site is www.londonlives.org

My baskets are looking a bit droopy and they were watered this morning.

The freezer section for a quid Ann.Well worth it in this weather .An ice cube tray would go nowhere lol
I love boat trips.I will do one anytime on hols .It's just being on the water.I love it.
I wish I could find a flimsy top .Maybe Frank could dig out that old Kaftan and pass it on lol
Everything is looking droopy in the garden .It's had a good watering tonight.I feel I need a good watering too lol

When I was a kid Mother washed in the scullery and hung it out in the back lane to dry, along with all the neighbours.

Sometimes if she had a lot or the weather was against her she would take it to Gibson Street Wash House where the whole community did their washing and drying.

Would have been interesting being a fly on the wall amid all that gossip.

That Wash House still stans as its a listed building
