Ellen's birthday later this month. I'm thinking of getting her a few pairs of Sadie the Bra Lady's fitted apparel. They measure you at home if you so desire.

Hi Jane and everyone I have just been outside and locked up just me and Matt here. I am so tired coming home tomorrow .I went to make sure the goat was ok and suddenly heard a rustling sound and jumped out of my skin
my heart was beating so fast. I went running in back to Matt
who found it amusing . it was the wind in the trees he said.
I know you are all used to it how do you survive must be me being a coward. No good without a man .

Aunty Merill arrived and she eats like a horse. Anyway she disapeared at 7am in her car and came back with cod and double chips for herself nothing for me and Matt .She sat and ate it in front of us and offered us a chip after a loud burp we both declined the offer. Matt and I had beans on toast. Merill then sat watching the night at the proms while me and Matt played chess she kept saying Oh they will have bobbing up and down like this in a minute. you wait and see she got out her Welsh flag and was waving it back and forth. We managed to hold off laughing me and Matt until the end when she suddenly stood up and sang Land of Hope and Glory at the top of her voice. Swaying like a tree and bobbing up and down it stopped and they sang it again and up aunty got again singing louder .

Jess and April stayed over at Megans house it was her birthday. I have packed and will be off
tomorrow morning .Matts friend Ryan is taking me home about 11am.

I am glad Frank is feeling better I missed the football match I am a keen Man United fan since aged 13.They lost I take it .

Well I am a bit sad to be going just got used to it not the spooks at night though Jasper seems to be in love with
Woof he keeps jumping on his back and they sleep together under the table .Woof rolls over four paws in the air and Jasper was licking his parts that dog of mine is such a trouble. well I can go to bed now just been tapping on the lap top while Matt flops on the put you up in the lounge and I can put all the lights out apart from a lamp
and go to bed. Matt bangs with his crutch if he needs me
Oh thats sounds funny ..
Catie used to go and have greek food when I lived in London mezi is it the greek starters we could not aford the rest of the meal so just joined in with the Greek dancing Les liked his OOZO and me smashing plates what a waste though sure they got a load in for the night I was younger though then and went to the proms also in my hat waving my flag was really into it I looked a bit of a nit
I stay in now scared to go out in Brum at night. Well Matts in bed nite nite have a nice day catch you in the week XX

Just to let Mel know that I now have the marriage cert between John Lane and Jane Restall. Trouble is that as it is hand written its not that easy to read, but I think I've got the gist of it ok. I seem to be doing two or three searches at once! I tend to get a fix on one and then the other! must try to be more methodical! Am mowing the grass today (sun's shining!) and then trap driving this pm, well, that's the plan, we'll see!!!!

Good Morning Everyone,

Just popped in to say hello before the rellies descend upon us. They have flown in from all over the world - so lovely that they have all wanted to be here to say goodbye to Nicky.

I won't be around for a few days - but will be back before too long :)

Catie xx

Good morrow my friends,

Suns out here and I am very pleased to see that all absent friends have popped in once again to let us know what they have been up to.

We don't want to loose anybody!!

Niggley if you email me that cert I will have a look and see if I can read it. I would be interested anyway as I did some research on them for you.

It sounds to me as though Sheila will need a rest when she gets home and some decent food. I wonder if she has lost weight?

Good luck with the pony this afternoon Niggley. He sounds great fun.

It is good to hear that Ralph is on the mend as he has been through so much, it's about time he had a break. Give him my love David when you nexr see him.

As to receiving photos of past ancestors, it's really exciting to be able to put faces to those names on your tree. The first one I received after joining GR was of a great aunt, Christiana Chignell. I could'nt beleive my luck! Just wish I had one of her brother who is my 2 x gt grandfather. It was very exciting as I said but her youngest daughters son was still alive at the time and had all his facalties. At one time he was in the workhouse and said it was great because he had all his friends in there and they had such good times in there. Most people say that being in a workhouse is awfull for families but he did'nt think so.

Thanks a lot Mel for your offer. I will have to get OH to do any uploading as I'm not very good at it!! At the moment is not a good time, OH has to go to hospital tomorrow to have tests for a dodgy prostate! He had a benign tumour some years ago which was treated, but now he is experiencing more problems which need diagnosing, so I don't like to fuss him right at this minute. I'll be back though at a later date!!! Am off to do that mowing, I want all extra jobs done so I don't have to worry about them for the next week or two.

Morning Everyone.
Pony and trap, that sounds lovely Elizabeth.I remember years ago when I was a Nanny we went to visit John Betjeman's wife and she had a pony and trap and she used to take it into the forest to collect the sawdust from the cut down trees. She used it for her heating.

Catie we will be thinking of you all tomorrow.See you back when you are ready xx

The sun is shining here too Mel .It's a lovely day.Have just picked another 3lb of beans!
I have a fair bit to do this morning and I need to pop to get some nice bread for lunch so I better get moving.BBL
