Silly Sausage Report 21 May 2010 22:18

He visited his pass as a ghost and none of the crimes were real so his father wasnt involved in porn films or maybe he was and Sam found out the truth... after his dealth.... I am well chuffed with the ending and it all makes sense as I worried it wouldnt VIV and the undercover policewomen didnt make it Keats got them thats why Gene was so upset,

Eldrick

Eldrick Report 21 May 2010 22:21

I think I need to sleep on this, just to digest it all.

So the police station was filled with new coppers, one shouting for his i-phone, so it can just go on and on.

I just hope they appreciated the new jummy lip-gloss and the Estee Lauder perfume.

I would hate to think I dolled myself up and they ignored me.

lololol

Well, I'd like to thank you all. I have really enjoyed this series.

It is the first TV program I have never watched about which I have no knowledge and dare I say it no interest and about which I now know very loosely speaking, the plot, the characters, and the outcome.

Well almost the outcome because it seems there is still some debate on what actually happened.

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 21 May 2010 22:27

Aunty Sherlock, you are my kind of woman.

You are eloquent, forthright, literate and never at a loss for words.

So pleased you liked our little thread about a programme you have not seen, or maybe will never see. You may have no interest in it either. But you will be a better person for sharing the experience. lol

But please, how did The Sullivans end.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 21 May 2010 22:33

Why didn't Alex stay with Gene that's the bit i don't get.

She could've done cos there was no going back to molly..she died at 9.06

One thing for sure...I'll never listen to *club tropicana* in the same way again !!!

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 21 May 2010 22:39

she went for the same reason Sam did, she would know and only Gene knew the truth I have just been reading about the last epsiode and I have to watch it again, Gene lend them to the Railway pub he was helping them over, I also missed what Keets said when waiting for the lift that shocked Shaz..

Hi Motowngal. I regret to inform you that I have never watched The Sullivans. That series fell into an era of the Aussie cringe factor when we were trying to promote more Australian content on our TV screens and were not doing it very well. Although I must admit the series did produce some very well known actors.

However!!! If you google the topic you can actually watch the end of the series. Well there are a few sites which offer this possibility. The YouTube version has been "removed for "misuse" ". What on earth that means I have no idea.

Goodluck, and I am always ready to further my education no matter what the direction!!

MotownGal Report 21 May 2010 22:43

Thank you Aunty Sherlock, will try and catch it on Google.

Let the Blood Run Free, with Pam Sandwich was also a goody.

Muffyxx

Muffyxx Report 21 May 2010 22:48

throw that man away...(referring to gene) then....GET IN (the lift)(really vicious tone though)x

Maz (the Royal One) in the East End 9256 Report 21 May 2010 23:13

I thought that what scared Shaz was the sound of screams coming up through the lift shaft.

by the end Keats was so weakened that he could barely walk straight.

excellent ending, me and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

"your knickers went south so fast they needed their own railcard" - Gene-ius :-)))

xxxxxxxxxx

ps I wonder if the name Keats was relevant? I studied the poet Keats for my English A Level but I loathed him - perhaps the writers of A2A did too!!

Beverley

Beverley Report 22 May 2010 07:18

My favourite bit - Gene saying in all seriousness - My name is Nigel Perkins. No it's not, it's Gene Hunt.

And - I arrest you for the murder of my car

Wonderful end to a brilliant series

MotownGal

MotownGal Report 22 May 2010 07:40

I think that Keats should have been called Byron.

Mad, Bad and Dangerous to Know.

He was barmy, the scene in the office where he kicked the furniture around was a bit disturbing.

Noticed that Gene was particularly snake-eyed last night.
Touch of the Clint Eastwoods.

Beverley

Beverley Report 22 May 2010 07:44

So, having slept on it all have now discovered the following:-

Keats was the Devil
The way to hell is via an elevator
The pub was heaven (don't we know that?)
The pearly gates is actually called The Railway Tavern
Nelson was Peter (never imagined Peter with dreadlocks by why not?)
The Quatro was a Chariot of Fire (did I hear that music? I'm sure I did)
and [speaks reverently so as not to upset anyone]
Gene was God

Wow
