Ooh Sue which part of the Fens? My mum lives in Ely, Muffy is in the fens too. I know it well, lived it Little Downham for years...can't get much more 'fen' than that. I'm in Norwich now.

You must come to the next meet then, it's local to you...sort of...at least by train lol

You do a wonderful job Mo, no way could I do it. Steve is in a really fabulous home about a mile away from where I live, the place is lovely and the staff are all wonderful, every single one of them. I'm friends with quite a lot of them on facebook, even the Manager!! I never leave without saying thank you to whoever is there. It was hard work caring for him at home on my own but I know he's well looked after now.

Promise not to say a word Daff. lol
I'm 57, I have two sons, one married and has a 5 year old daughter, one single and living and working in Holland with his girlfriend. Eldest is 38, youngest 34.

I'm from near Leeds originally, lived in Herts for over 20 years and now in Cambs. In The Fens. I'm married but my husband has alzheimer's and has been in a local care home for 3 years. He is 60 this year, 52 when diagnosed.

I don't find this part of the site clicky at all funnily enough, I have joined forums in the past that definitely were though. I have asked question on Trying To Find and have had lots of help which is great.

I'm a childminder and have a 16 month old trying to get on my lap at the moment. I have a 10 month old starting too next week. I'm mad!!

Is that a good thing? lol

Hello Sue, yes we do know each other pretty well now, but it's only because we've all posted on here then had meets. But please don't think its clicky or anything, join in wherever you want. We just like a good laugh,

....And boy! did we have one at the meet in peterborough on Saturday...oopps sorry Susan lol

MrDaff Report 12 Apr 2010 09:30

Sue, most of us have been playing on the Boards for a few years, but it is good to meet up in real life sometimes... to put faces to names... and also mannerisms... I can now hear Mo talking when she writes.... so get the tone better.....

I have to admit to loving the meets, and have made some very good friends.... I meet up with Ann a bit more often, she puts up with me beautifully, lolol

But we do like new people joining us... we are mostly a friendly bunch... 'cept that Susan with Numbers of course, lolol ;¬)) who is lovely really but perleeeese don't tell her I said so, I'll get earache from her!!

Hi Ann, thanks, nice to meet you all too. I've posted on 'trying to find' before and had a lot of help but not seen this part of it. You obviously all know each other well.

I'm supposed to be working but can't stop reading what you are all putting on this thread!

Sue, Mo is very petite... I am short-ish, but she would fit cosily under my armpit.... not that she'd want to of course, but if she did she would.

Does anyone know what I am talking about? Please let me know, so I can understand, lolol It's them two braincells having a row again, wish they'd get their act together! ;¬))

Daff your post 0905 can't think who you could mean in your second sentence.
Actually it was reasonably refined on the boards over the weekend, well until Saturday evening. (Other than just one glitch).

Hello Sue, nice to meet you, feel free to jump in any time.

Daff it is not the not being there so much as the 'when are we going, I am excited, I am back, wasn't it great? Do your remember? threads and the proliferation of them that make the rest of us jealous Lol!
