Yes Newfies are very strong and have to be trained at an early age as they do not stay small for long and are just babies with a lot of strength! I'm 5ft tall and have been dragged a few times in the past! Lol. |

Yes, Dee - we are ahead but only by a couple of weeks. Your 'lay-off' time is different from ours. We usually watch until Oct-Nov, then a new series starts early in February. This changes things. |

Irene likes to leave the last letter off all her words. To me, that's like nails down the blackboard. I can barely listen - we don't all talk like that, believe me. |

I should be one of the last ones complaining about our speech but what annoys me is that one of our popular news readers grew up in my street and went to school with my children - and her speech is totally different from what it was when she lived there - because she had elocution lessons! - but also, because the news is written properly (well, most of the time, anyway). |

Poor speech makes me cross too, and I hate words like #gonna' We were taught to speak the Kings english when I was at school. I dont have a lot of tolerance of bad spelling either, or text. |

I know times have changed since I was young, but hopping in and out of different beds is not what I consider a good example to set youngsters and H&A is shown at 7pm here. The story-line is aimed at the young ones too, so what does it tell them? They don't even go on dates first - at most, a juice in the diner is enough to warrant a roll in the hay! |

I think with Alf and Irene, they have taken the "Dinky Die Aussie" theme too far. I've never had an adult call me "girlie" or bloomin' this and that, not that I'm a spring chicken any more. |

Yes, I agree that Alf's comments are old. "Strewth", "Strike me", etc. were old sayings which were used prior to WW2, and I think the name Sheila was a popular Christian name for girls in England during WW1, where it wasn't known in Australia, so the Aussie soldiers referred to the girls as 'sheilas' - and somehow we had the reputation for calling all girls sheilas until after WW2 was over. New sayings come and go with the times, but these days they are world wide, since the advent of television and quotes from movies became popular. |

Heath and Darryl seem to be having a role-reversal. Darryl is about to do a 'job' to get money in order to pay his father off so he'll go away - and Heath is becoming a devoted daddy. |

I've never known a show where professionals constantly cross that "line". |

Can't see it happening in real life. Makes me think the writers have led a very sheldered life. They should get out more. |

That's a pity, Marion. Please don't leave us. We will keep you informed (without giving too much away) on whether it is worth watching or not - or what to look out for. |

Marion I was having that problem with the errors. Has calmed down a lot now and a new computer helped. The other one was ancient. |
