Hello Heather lovely to see you back able to post again and as you say, lots of snow!!! Was staying at daughters in Northampton for a few days and drove home yesterday with her 2 youngest as they are staying with me now for a couple of days along with other daughters 6 yr old. The drive home was a complete nightmare. It had been snowing there for a few hours and it took me 31/2 hours to get home (a journey that normally takes 45mins to an hour) and we were driving on the A14 and M1 so both major routes I cannot understand what had brought the traffic to a complete standstill, I know the snow was very bad but we didn't move for an hour and then it was just stop and go and we crawled the rest of the way home, both boys got fed up and fell asleep for some of the journey. I think if I had heard 'are we going to move faster' one more time...... Off now to play hide and seek with them Have a good day all of you

Jo, I bet you will be exhausted after having three of them!!
I haven't done much craft work today, we were out all morning shopping at Dunelm, just discovered their craft corner so bought several bits this morning. Just made one card today, that makes 7 for the CRUK shop next week. Took them 6 the week before last.

Hallo all, I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out of the window this morning. Yes, somebody had been throwing snow all over the grass, roads and pavements. Just when I thought it had all finished! We have had snow now since mid-December. I hope that it will be finished before Easter? Please send my best wishes to the sick members and wish them a speedy recovery. Johan and I tried out the catheter yesterday evening and it was a disaster. We had to give it up as it was so painful. If it wasn't so painful I could have laughed. I am sure that Johan won't make a doctor, anyway at 84 he is only trying his best for me. Sylvia

Ann the number grew yesterday to 4, two 2 yr olds the 6 and 7, Grandchildren all delivered safely back to their respective parents so having a lazy day today, really need it as I have had a hectic few days.
Sylvia, as you say need to look at the funny side of these things, pity though that it didn't work and that it was so painful, sounds like you need some of the local anesthetic gel.
Woke up again this morning to even more snow!!!!!!!! Just checked the weather forecast and seems like it will be snow on and off all week. Just been out to feed the birds and the rabbits, seem to have lots of little ones at the moment in the garden and I did notice that one of the large ones collecting nesting material last week, so looks like more on the way. Good job OH doesn't mind them eating bits in the garden, although they don't seem to bother with the flower beds only the hedgerow.
Washing machine decided to stop working and is terminal so just ordered a new one on line and it will be delivered on Tuesday, just need the new tumble dryer now.......
Hope the snow is not too bad where you and that you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Afternoon Ladies, hope you are all keeping well xxx
We've had lots of snow, but it's all gone now, as much as I love it, snow belongs to Winter & Spring is nearly here, so hope the weather gets better. The garden is in need of some attention........ Easter cards Ann, I don't make many, was looking through blogs the other day and spotted an absolute gorgeous design, all vintagey, olde worlde, my kind of thing, but will probably only make a few for my nieces with the stamps I've got :-)
Right off to to a bit of surfing, then put the dinner on for later.... Bye for now xx

Hallo all, Well the hospital thinks they have found out why I keep falling asleep. You know I can be sitting talking to you one minute and fast asleep another. Yes, we can laugh about it, but it is a real nuisance. Apparently when I sleep at night I don't breathe properly and I am not getting enough oxygen. The ent specialist together with the lung doctor told me this and I now have to go to bed at night with a mask on - yes, a real sleeping beauty! I haven't got the mask yet. I have been making quite a few cards for my neighbour. She told me she wanted one for a woman who has done a lot for the Red Cross and I was told to put on the card that she was a knight for the Red Cross. Now I have to do the same for a man. I have also made 10 or so funny ones for her. I have now trained my help well enough that she allows me more time for myself. Weather now warmer and snow gone - we hope!

Well at least they are getting somewhere Sylvia, let's hope the mask solves the problem.
Still got a couple of Easter cards to make, what on earth do you put on an easter card for a 13 year old boy?

Evening ladies, I hope you are all well.
I am just about to send out an email regarding a member leaving the group.
Sylvia thank goodness that the doctors have sorted out your sleeping problem, nothing worse than suddenly falling to sleep at unexpected moments, could be very dangerous!!
Ann I have no idea what I would put on an Easter card for a teenage boy, I would keep it as simple as possible.
Well it is now raining here so we have local flooding what with that and the melting snow.
Not sure if something has happened in the locality but three police cars have just gone flying past with sirens and lights flashing, too many car accidents on these narrow country lanes.

Good morning all and hugs to all that are unwell xx We have had a busy week with three of our sheep having lambs, two sets of twins and a single birth. We are now waiting in Daisy and first time mum Lucy" my hand reared lamb" to have theirs. It is spot on to 5 months since the ram jumped the fence lol We have been watching from upstairs window all week watching for signs of licking lips and grinding teeth and if one out of sight, running out to check. With all the rain its not good for a lamb to be left outside too long and the fun and games of getting mum and babes to top house is manic!! Card groups going well and we have been using wet wipes with distress inks a lot this week and stamping with script to make lovely backgrounds, plus been having a play with the brayer and started using Clarity stamps, worth looking out for along with crafty individual stamps xx Jill

Ann, what about cutting the shape of a chocolate egg and use strips of different shades of brown paper folded and do an iris folded card.

Hallo all, What a pity we have to lose another member, but perhaps we'll have another new one soon. Jo, I now have the name of my new sickness - Apneu. If you google t his name you can read about it and the reason why I keep falling asleep, very dizzy, loss of memory, etc.etc. There are not many sicknesses I haven't had now, but the doctors tell me I'm so positive. Have two cards to finish for my neighbour who is in the Red Cross. She wants funny cards but also to thank them for their services and say they are knights for the Red Cross. Things take me so long these days. Now have a nice weekend. sylvia xxx

Sylvia, at least you now have a name for it and there are some really good treatments around and they all seem to work really well, so hopefully you will be back to normal very soon and not falling asleep!! Yes it is a pity when we lose members of the group, hopefully things will improve for Mary soon and she will rejoin us.
It is so cold and damp here today, the damp makes all my bones ache and taking the dog for a walk this morning it poured with rain, good job I had my hat on, Not a pretty site !!
Have a lovely weekend all of you

Evening ladies, what a wonderful day it was today, the sun shone all day and it was not bitter cold and no rain, what a change. Still there is a full moon this evening and the stars are all shining brightly, so probably get a frost this evening.
Just trying to do some more FH research, Makes a change but have got to some dead ends what with illegitimate boys and name changes..... Still keep plodding on Joxx
