Not for ancestors, no. I did speak to them to trace my brother's grave in the new cemetery. He died prematurely and only ever heard my mother mention him once. They did find the grave for me and were very helpful. I didn't know the year of death and can't remember now how I went about it! |

I emailed the more distant ones ie the Bradford one for my Gran. It is possible in some places. to visit their offices and look them up for yourself. If they were buried in churchyards it is worth contacting the church and asking if they have details of their graves. Our village church has a website with a list of the graves in their churchyard. |

I've got the dates but I don't know which church served the old churchyard. I can found out quite a lot of information from the archives office but I need time to visit and that is something I haven't got until I finish work. I discovered a distant rellie of mine who works there part time, so I have no excuse when I 'm ready! |

I have got to contact Derbyshire one again as I am wondering if there is another cemetery that was used rather than just the church one as I have 'lost' a few of my lot somewhere. I really must do that as one of the 'lost is my g.g.g.Grandad. |

I'm sure there will be somewhere. Some of them are very elusive! |

I probably asked this before but I obviously forgot the answer. Do they put someone who die of consumption in a special place or just bury them? |

RMS Consumption as you know is tuberculosis, a lung disease. I don't think they are buried any differently to normal dead people. |

Morning all, I have never heard of anyone being treated differently through illness but I believe they were if they commited suicide. No consecrated ground for them. |
