I would love to go to the meet with you all but I only have a few hours each day that I'm not looking after my son.

Hi Pauline

Think we are just having a moan, or practising for a women only quizz lol

It's betamale who is the bane of my life at the moment, although OH has been known to get an earful. BM was saying he didn't know how to even attempt certain DIY chores. OH offered to show him next weekend, but, oh no, he has 'found' somewhere he needs to be. Grrrr.

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 13 Apr 2010 10:50

We had thought that might be the case. Although we would probably prefer a weekday, would you be able to get away on a Saturday if his father could take over the careing duties?

Weekends are worse DET, I don't have any free time at all. My hubby works 7 days a week (12 hours a day) and my son's father lives in Kent.

Edit: Obviously my hubby gets holidays but I always feel it would be unfair for him to spend his free time trying to cope with my son on his own.

Maz, even if I go to see my brother in Seaham I'm a nervous wreck in case I get called back.

Never mind, I'll just read about the meets instead.

My little white envelope next to the messages isn't working!!!!!
Sorry to those who pm'd me earlier. I wasn't being rude and ignoring you. Blame it on GR.

I'm upright - yay!! We celebrated by going out for lunch - bread, roasted camembert cheese and coffee, while sitting in the sunshine. Don't really think Maz would want ALL of us to turn up on her doorstep at once.......would she? You might live to regret those words lol

Pauline. Have you considered respite care for your son. Surely you lot have some system where an trained carer comes into your house to assist while you go do something else for the day.

I'm not advocating for a three week holiday in the West Indies, just for the day. You deserve some time to yourself no matter how selfish you might think it is. Ask at your local Council and see what's on offer.

Oh ho I see what is happening here. Be careful Maz. The Nut Lodge inspection team is on its way. Hey Maz, you missed a bit over here. Look Maz this flower is not the same height as that one. Oh no the paint strokes on the second stair are going the wrong way.

I'd be for getting far awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay from the house and having a relaxing day tramping for miles around the shopping centres, fire stations and zoo of the whatever named city.

DET I have emailed GR again about the envelope. Mine is now there when I don't have messages.
LG I have a porta pottie you could borrow. Emptying it is a real challenge.

OH has just taken Spot for his walk. Yaaaay!!
I have my inquisition at work today. If you hear on the news AuntyS slashes wrists you will know I've done badly!!!

YG

YG Report 13 Apr 2010 22:28

I'm in charge of measuring the flowers!! No more than 1mm difference allowed between them!! Will also be looking for any wallpaper that is on upside down lol!!

That's if I'm not too distracted by the firemen!

LaGooner

LaGooner Report 13 Apr 2010 22:57

LOL YG. We will have to hose you down if you get all steamed up about firemen again.

+++DetEcTive+++

+++DetEcTive+++ Report 13 Apr 2010 23:37

Didn't you have your inquisition a couple of weeks ago, or was that a different emphasis?

Ooooo - is that a bubble in the wallpaper???

Lovely new barhroom - lucky you! Hope aunty has emptied the porta-loo before she catapults it over lol
