So sorry to hear that Eddie has has another set back, such a worrying time for you and your son and daughter. But you shout and scream on here all you want. as has been said sleep is a healer and while in an induced coma he is resting and letting his body recover and the ventilator will help his lungs.

Lots of (((((hugs))))) for you and prayers and thoughts for Eddie.

Footprints in the Sand


One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you."

Just got back from the hospital, l saw the doctor and this is what she told us..................Eddie now has Pneumonia and has fluid on his lung, they are going to do another scan to see how bad it is and he might have to have a tube put back in his chest to drain the fluid ( had that when he first went in). He's blood count is low so they are going to top it up with some more blood and he has a bug which they are trying to identify so they can treat it, they are giving him antibotics (sp) and she also told us he has broken 5 ribs not the 3 l was first told.
The doctor was honest with us and told us that he isn't out of the woods yet but as l really do believe in the power of prayer and l won't give up believing he will pull through.
When me and my daughter were talking by his bedside he's eyes started flickering and the doctor said they don't know if they can hear us but l'm sure he did.

Sorry to hear of the latest set-backs.
My friend's husband was put into a controlled coma earlier this year and it was a very worrying time, but gradually things improved and later he was well enough to drive them to their holiday this summer.

Heaps of positive thoughts winging their way to you.

Mummo, such a blow for you when you went up yesterday morning that he had been poorly in the night and they had been too busy to call you, no wonder you wanted to rant but having some sleep was good for you to help you through the rest of what must have been a horrible day. I do hope now Ed is resting in the induced coma, he will start to get better and they can sort out the infection too so that can be dealt with. Try to stay strong and talk to your man all the time you are there, he will hear I am sure and know you and the family are willing him well and back where he belongs.
