Thanks so much Libby....i'm still so pleased you managed to keep your job though.....I think that's great news.....lets hope the other stores manage to as well........but don't be beating yourself up if they don't........as you say..these really are awful times.

OH has a qualification that SHOULD secure him a job........it's just the volume of people applying for each one......once he's sorted......and we know what hours he's doing I can then go back into the work place.......hopefully it'll only be a matter of weeks til we sort SOMETHING out........knock on enough doors and one will open my grandad used to say.......we're going to knock til our knuckles are raw.......xx

Fingers and toes crossed for you both Muffy.

I heard yesterday that my job is safe for now, just hope that my company can find a buyer, hubby has been out of work for over twelve months.

What sh***y times we are living in.

Let's hope that 2010 (hard year to type... age thing) is a better year for all of us. Lottery win win would be good... if I could afford it..lol. Dream on.

xx

Hopefully he will be the one who is safe :-))

You know how to pm me with foul language if you want to let off steam!!

With all the shite I have been through in the past two years, some of yours heaped on me won't make any difference..lol

Chin up girl, don't dwell until you know the outcome.

Love Sue xx

He escaped it this time last year Pat......there's not a fag paper to choose between him and his workmates in terms of productivity and attendance etc. Luck of the draw I fear.xx

Hopefully it will be good news for you. We were in that situation earlier this year. The company my husband works for had to let go 1/3 of it's staff. Luckily he had a good reputation so was not out of a job.
Hope the same goes for your hubby.
