Thanks for all the support.

Ideal scenario would be for the other place to phone on Monday/Tues to let us know he has a job starting on Wednesday lol.

Had enough of the place he's at. tbh......its better than nothing but only just !!!

Had a great day out today with OH and my parents...got the girls main presents bought and paid for so I'm happy to just take what's coming either way now....we'll keep knocking on the doors and I know eventually one will open ! xx

In my experience work comes to good workers eventually. You have each other, material things are not so important. Many go into debt for Christmas presents which are so expensive these days. Children are quite resilient and can understand the problems if they are told. Hope you both have some luck soon.

Muffy - Reading your posts, I am so disgusted that any employer could treat their employees in such a way. Somebody in management is having "fun" dangling the employees on a string - telling you the different ways they will be deciding who goes and who stays - whilst the employees are no doubt worried sick about their future.

I hope your OH and others find employment soon - no matter what it is - anything could be better than working for an employer like that. They should be gaoled for the way they are treating their employees.

My god Muffy what a worry for you both.......I hadn't realized that's how firms dealt with redundant staff.

I do think it should be on performance , rather than sick or late.
Well I've learn' t something !!

I really do hope whatever the outcome that hubby has a job for Christmas.

Thinking about you Muffy.
