evening again very cold here again

A very late good evening from me, so much so, I'll say goodnight and sleep well :)

Hi ~~We've got a dusting of snow , hope we don't get loads by the morning ;(

We had the white stuff in the early hours, then it rained as the Gritter came around at 2.30am.
Still got a few clumps of it in places , tho it's foggy and sleeting now.

Hope you haven't had too much up North, looks as if lots of places have :-(
depends on whether you live in a more sheltered area I guess and how much inconvenience it causes.

it has snowed all day but has collected on the edges only as its wet

No more snow here .

I fell on an icy side road on Sat when walking, much rather walk in snow !

Fell flat on my back!...Bum hit the ground first ( well padded ,bum that is) so no damage done.
My pride wasn't dented either when I picked myself up off the ground, slipping in the snow / ice I've done it a few times :(( ,always have layers on this weather , so no undergarments were on show !

Some dreadful photos in the press of snow drifts and floods in different parts of the country !!
We were walking level with the top of cars in iced packed snow in 1982....
I remember it well I was required to walk to work or loose a day's pay , tho I don't have the T shirt I probably had on to keep me warm ,I do have the photo hubby took!

Been googling that area Maz cos I never been to the North East .,.

I went to Blackpool on a training course in Feb 1976 ( didn't see Blackpool as in a holiday resort ), I stayed in Cleaveys I've never been that as far North since....

Caught the wrong train back out of Crewe, the trainer in Blackpool gave me the the times of the trains, tho this one went to Cardiff it went via Birmingham and was not the one I wanted.!
No mobile phones in those days !
I arrived home safely but after a very long journey.

Tho I'd like to go to York and Leeds, Newcastle no particular reason other than I've never seen that area of the UK...would love to go to Scotland and the Emerald Isle...they are on my wish list

its chilly but bright again during the day yesterday i was out without a coat on at long last thegarden is very boggy still
